Summarize recent movies you watched

I've watched a lot of films recently, maybe because I'm ignorant, most of them are refreshing and shocking. Stonehearst Asylum is no exception. In addition to the thought-provoking storyline, the narrative style also made me hooked when I saw the ending.
There are two plot reversals in the film, but there are three defections in the heart.
The first is to learn that the mental patients led by Silas rebelled collectively and imprisoned these "serious" doctors and nurses such as Soter. I thought that the next step was the protagonist Dr. Newgate subduing the neurotic to help normal people escape from the cage, but in fact, it was Guyuet's identity forgery. The last two mental illnesses saved the suffering patients and released the detained medical staff, and then fell in love with each other and lived a happy and beautiful life in a foreign country. Originally hated Silas, but after learning about his troubles, he became sympathetic and understanding, and finally learned all the truth, but was completely relieved. Maybe the story can be reversed infinitely, and the identities of doctors and patients can also be reversed endlessly. In fact, who and whether they are sick or not, so what? Even if you have made mistakes, you will be fine now and your future will be bright, and you will have nothing to ask for. Sometimes there are things that don't need to be said clearly, and it's not clear. There is no need to admit death, it is enough to end up with good results and good people.
In my opinion, the film is always full of confusion or thinking about identity. Some patients in the insane asylum are confused and fantasize about themselves as strange and strange things; but some people behave normally, but there are some psychological barriers that easily lead to excessive behavior; some even just because of discord with the family , "being mentally ill". However, no matter what, they can feel pain and injustice, and they all yearn for respect and equality. Reflecting on and criticizing the cruel abuse and inhuman treatment of some patients is the most basic and usual level of the film. The humane treatment of giving up drugs and doing their own thing to give all patients a new lease of life seems to be effective. This can also explain why Guyute, who is also a mental patient, has various scars on his body, and he can communicate with other mental patients and understand each other with sympathy. However, the food crisis hinted at by the film and the scene at the end where all the patients cheering for the execution of Guyuit seem to have doubts about such humane treatment, and there are still undercurrents in the normal order and still indifferent to life. Finally, in the sunshine, patients and medical staff live in harmony, which is very gratifying.
Be it a "madman" or a "patient", people are always subjective and arbitrary about their own identity to others. Just like doctors and nurses think Silas is a murderous maniac, as a military doctor he killed five young soldiers. However, in fact, it is precisely because of his kindness and kindness that he does not want those weak lives with only stumps and broken arms to continue to suffer and suffer, and then try to commit suicide after killing others.
Once identified, then all language behaviors seem to be branded, unable to distinguish between true and false, or they are all regarded as corresponding performances. A drunk person will say that he is not drunk, and a person who is not drunk will also say that he is not drunk; a thief will say that he has not stolen, and passers-by will also say that he has not stolen; a lunatic never admits that he is a lunatic, let alone a normal person. In the absence of objective, constant and measurable criteria, identity and other judgments can be ambiguous, conflicting, or completely wrong. When there is no way to make a decision, it is better not to be qualitative, accept it with a tolerant and calm attitude, and then try to trust and feel the good side. Everyone who gets along can be like this, then there is no such thing as "crazy". So it can be deduced that this film is actually discussed on the basis of the assumption that "human nature is inherently good".
If there is something fresh and warm in this film at the end, I am afraid it is the end. The real Dr. Guyuette told the truth. It seemed that there was no end. In fact, the nurse gave the best answer: "No what. Who." He thought that the fake Guyuette was actually a neurotic and would bring crisis. No one cares if he's "crazy" as Newt and Grafsteel dance to the tunes in the brightly colored garden. Love or Love, love is very powerful, it saves and even heals all the mentally ill patients in the film. They have dignity and get along happily and harmoniously.
In contrast to Chinese film and television works, there are few stories with such ups and downs and diverse and profound connotations. The so-called dark side of today's society is bluntly portrayed with pornography, money, and power to express realism and sharpness, but it is actually full of moral kidnapping and visual violence. No artistry or thought. As public opinion said, the recent "youth films" seem to be records of "abortion" of boys and girls. Youth is so pale and shallow, what is there to remember? You should be glad that you have matured.
From this point of view, some Chinese playwrights are also "crazy". They live in a "Little Kingdom" of their own, and when they look inside and out, they feel that they are deep and sharp enough. In addition to the "Kingdom", other screenwriters have gone far away, leaving the city people behind for a long time.

Having said that, I thought of some of the recent ones I saw "Dystopian" movie. Divergent, Maze Runner, Snowpiercer, and The Memory Giver. These films have constructed an ideal society, but there will always be some restless people who want to break the rules. A highly developed society can maintain precise and strict stability with order and technology, but it cannot suppress the human nature that will eventually explode. This again involves the authority and order mentioned in Fang Long's "Preface to Tolerance". Not being dogmatic, not sticking to stereotypes, and daring to question, these restlessness are the source of social and human progress. After all, in addition to learning, many things are sailing against the current, and if you don't advance, you will retreat.
The outcome of breaking out of utopia may be good or bad. The teenagers who escaped from the labyrinth have to meet the next "test", and the hero who jumped out of the Snowpiercer smiled in the face of the snow and the cold wind. But no matter what, the repression of personality, as Lu Xun said, will either explode or perish in the end.
