This is a good movie and I spend 2 hours watching it on Netflix. Well, the plot was set in 1960s Mississippi. Yes, the same period with Martin Luther King gave a speech with “I have a Dream” the story was developing by three African American. One maid name Minny was fired by used white's toilet. In return, she made a special chocolate pie for her boss. Another maid name yule wants to borrow a loan from Hilly who is her working for because her son needed money to go to college. But Hilly was a mean woman and rejected her then shame on her. Skeeter was a white girl raised by African American maid, she wants to expose a range of these unfair treatments and she wrote theses story and published it. This movie was adapted by the same name novel. Now, I decide to read it.

I think all lives are matter. It doesn't matter about race, we shall respect everybody.

It's great to see Emma try out roles other than rom-coms. Viola Daivs well explained the core character Aibileen's psychology from forbearance to resistance. Spencer's character Minny is even more eye-catching, and Eat my shit's savage revenge is heartwarming. The interpretation of the villain white trash is also commendable. I feel that Emma's mother's attitude change was too sudden.
