Don't know what to say about this new Timberlake...

it doesn't feel like Timberton's Timberlake.

I haven't read Roald Dahl's original novel,

nor have I had a chance to see "Willy" directed by Mel Stuart in 1971 Wonka and the Chocolate Factory",

so I don't know the similarities and differences between the style and content of the film Tim Burton created and the original novel.

But I feel that the story of this film is relatively bland and there are no big surprises.

The latter part of the film, written by Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore) brings out the importance of family, and as a turning point in the film, bringing out another climax, it still feels very understatement.

Although some scenes in the chocolate factory are dizzying,

but a lot of computer stunts are used In addition , the closeness of the story is a little lacking.

Except for the shabby house where the Charlie Bucket family lives, there are not really many sharp images. I

don't know if it is limited by the original novel or other factors.

Looking forward to Timberton's follow-up Corpse Bride 's next work will bring me new surprises again.

It's a great movie, but unfortunately, it still depends on the "voluntary exploitation" of the dwarfs to establish a perfect balance.

Doesn't seem to be suitable for children

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory quotes

  • Willy Wonka: I sure hope no part of him gets left behind.

Mr. Teavee: What do you mean?

Willy Wonka: Uh, well... sometimes only half of the little pieces find their way through. If you had to choose only one half of your son, which one would it be?

Mr. Teavee: What kind of a question is that?

Willy Wonka: No need to snap, just a question.

  • Mr. Salt: Are you using the Havermax 4000 to do your sorting?

    Willy Wonka: No.

    [laughs]

    Willy Wonka: You're really weird.
