Watching TV as a child was more inclined to judge right and wrong. Always think that the righteous side should win and the evil side is doomed to lose. So we cry when heroes die, and applaud when villains are punished. But the real world is not that simple. The dualistic thinking only exists in the world of children. It is obviously too arbitrary to face war with such a concept.
World War II is a heartache that human beings can never escape. That catastrophe turned the world upside down. The film and television works built on it can be said to be endless, and it is difficult for us to count the excellent films alone. But as far as war movies go, Fury is clearly just mediocre. The old Brad Pitt is not as handsome as he was when he was young, and the overly long narrative inevitably makes people feel verbose. But there is one advantage of Hollywood movies, no matter how boring and mediocre themes, as long as they are properly drawn, they can still be thrilling to watch.
The film doesn't seem to discuss the deeper subject, the five men on the Furious tank need to perform tasks assigned by their superiors after entering Germany. The cruelty of the war made the veterans know that killing people was just a blink of an eye, and Norman, a recruit, obviously couldn't accept this fact. When we criticize the cruelty of Nazi Germany, should we also reflect on ourselves? In order to let men participate in the war, the Nazis did not hesitate to hang the "cowards" who refused to participate in the exhibition. But in order to let people participate in the war, didn't the United States also assign Norman, who can only type, to the tank class? So right or wrong has little effect on the battlefield, what matters is how you live on the battlefield.
In the case of poor equipment, the film begins by saying that the German Tiger tank is stronger than the American tank. Coupled with a series of setbacks, when Fury appeared, it was already somewhat passively beaten by the Germans. Germany is already at a disadvantage on the big battlefield, but on the small battlefield, especially in the tank-to-tank showdown, the Fury is not dominant. So we saw later that four American tanks barely killed one Tiger tank under Pete's command, while Pete's side actually lost three tanks. There are only five brothers left in one car. It is up to everyone to choose whether to move forward or backward.
God forgiving you day by day and leaving your life to you does not mean that He will be able to care for you the next day. The five brothers just hung their heads around their necks and could lose their lives at any time. Young Norman didn't understand war at first, he didn't want to kill, he just wanted to be a good man. When confronted with German prisoners of war, he felt that it was wrong to kill them. He can play the piano, fall in love with German girls, and indulge in the game of playing home to appreciate the warmth of war. But the war is cruel, the cannonballs are ruthless, the German girl was killed by the cannonball of her own people, and all that was only for a moment. Life is so fragile and reality is so cruel. On the battlefield, you can't outline your next move, because life can be lost at any time.
But people can choose their own path, and they can also choose how they live their lives. After seeing the cruelty of war and the brotherhood accumulated from several small battles, the film also reached a climax. Pete, who had only one tank, accidentally stepped on a mine because he wanted to lead his brother to guard the intersection, and the only tank was also incapacitated. Just as they were trimming the tanks, a battalion of troops approached from afar. Five men against a battalion, impossible to win. Escape is the most correct choice, they only need to hide in the bushes to avoid this catastrophe. But the tank is their only home, and Pete said let's go, he has to guard the tank alone. This is to complete the task, and it is more reluctant to leave his home. I thought this reason was too thin, but the thinking of heroes is not understandable by ordinary people.
How many tragic martyrs know that they are at a disadvantage and will not run away, and who has shaped so many heroes so that they can take care of the overall situation and sacrifice themselves? The plot lacks creativity, because we have heard too much about such a hero who sacrificed himself for the country, but every time we see a real hero come forward, it still ignites the emotion in our hearts. So for the sake of brotherhood, for the sake of family and country, after the last reminiscence, several people drank alcohol and smoked cigarettes and regarded death as home. The war is naturally played very wonderfully, and there is no more innovation in the process. Nothing more than running out of ammunition and food, and finally died heroically. Watching the hot-blooded men being killed by the Nazis, I still feel a pain in my heart. I have seen such a plot too many times, but we are still moved. In the end, Fury was broken, and the ending was nothing new. This is how Hollywood works. No matter how big the gap between the enemy and the enemy, the righteous side will still have hope.
The grenade was thrown into the cabin, leaving only a breathless Pete and Norman unscathed. Pete let Norman escape through a secret door under the tank, so Pete was killed and Norman survived. The inspecting German soldiers had already noticed Norman hiding under the tank, but in the heart of love and redemption, he let him go, and Norman fell asleep until dawn at that tense moment.
There is no innovation in the process, but the Hollywood production method will make people look thrilling. There is no discussion of more issues, this is a commercial film after all, what it wants is the box office, and it cheats the ordinary audience of money, so there is no need to do more connotation. After watching it, it's okay to be moved, as for other films with more missions.
