The movie is a sery of love stories, full of drama. All types of love, romance, brotherhood-like, crush, beyond languages or classes. We know most of them will NEVER happen in life. But since they are so rare, what's the bad if the audiences get touched by these pipe dreams? At least we get emotional and feel warm-hearted for half and an hour.
The moment I was taken most is when Emma Thompson found out her husband may have an affair as she opened the Christmas gift, She felt like falling from heaven. Minuites ago she thought her husband had bought her an expensive necklace. She had to pretend nothing happened and couldn't help shedding tears alone in the bedroom.
The movie tells us to speak out your love to the person you love, no matter what, before you have time to do it. Even if you can't have it eventually, trying your best is enough. You have nothing to lose Just do it before you regret you did nothing for yourself.
