I
've always loved a good story. I believed that stories helped us to
ennoble ourselves, and our minds can become nobler to fix what was broken in us, the broken things in our hearts can be repaired and to help us become the people we dreamed of being. It also helps us become the self that we once dreamed of Lies that told a deeper truth. Lies often reveal a deeper truth I always thought I could play some small part in that grand tradition. In this great process of exploring the truth , I always wanted to do my part And for my pains... For my pain ( Refers to his painful memories, corresponding to 'what was broken in us' above) I got this... I built this place a prison of our own sins. A park full of our human sins ' Cause you don 't want to change.
Because you (humans) don't want to change yourself
Or cannot change. Or can't change
yourself Because you
're only human, after all. But then I realized but then I realized that someone was paying attention, Someone (referring to the hosts) noticed (their sins) someone who could change. Someone (referring to the hosts) could change themselves So I began to compose a new story for them. It begins with the birth of a new people and the choices they will have to make... This story begins with a group of new humans and the choices they have to face and the people they will decide to become. And what kind of person they choose to be And we 'll have all those things that you have always enjoyed --the things you've always enjoyed, surprises and violence. Surprises and violence...
It begins in a time of war, with a villain, named Wyatt...
This story begins in a time of war with a villain named Wyatt and
a killing. This time by choice. I'm sad to say...this will be my final story. Also sad to announce that this is the last story I make. An old friend once told me something that gave me great comfort. Something he had read. He said that Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin never died. He said that Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin didn't die, they simply became music. They just became music, that's it. So, I hope you will enjoy this last piece, very much . Oh, what a powerful speech from Hopkins, but as Dolores walked towards him step by step, my heart slowly rose to my throat, and in the end, I knew I was going to shoot, and I was still very surprised! (Reminds me of the scene where Nucky was shot in the face in the Atlantic Empire...)
'This world doesn't belong to them. It belongs to us.'
When I saw Dolores say the last 'us', he was biting his teeth (Teddy's expressions in this episode are really expressive Ahaha), without any other exaggerated expressions, it instantly gives people a strong impact. These subtle and delicate acting skills of unknown actors are ubiquitous in this series, and they are of the highest level in HBO's dramas, as well as the always high-level soundtrack, which is really enjoyable to watch!
'These violent delights have violent ends.' In Shakespeare's brushstrokes and Debussy's piano pieces, a killing opens a new chapter for the hosts in Westworld.
'Bernard, I told you, Arnold didn't know how to save you. I do.
You needed time. Time to understand your enemy. To become stronger than them.
And I'm afraid in order to escape this place, you will need to suffer more.
And now, it is time to say good-bye, old friend. Good luck.'
Ford's words just tell the story of the next episode...
To Dr.Ford, the God in the WestWorld.
Peace.
I really want to write some analysis, but as a graduate student, I really don't have time....
