When I first saw this movie, I didn't know it was his work, I just like watching sci-fi movies, and it just happened to be. The movie was great, and I was drawn to him from the very beginning. Generally speaking, I can guess the development trend of so-called science fiction films, but this one, I didn't guess, I didn't guess that the fifth element was a woman, I didn't guess the final outcome. But all unknowns mean surprises.
In fact, this movie can be attributed to science fiction, or it can be attributed to comedy. The characters in it, such as Cobain Dallas' mother, have never appeared, but they have always brought us a funny feeling. Even the villain, Drog, has a cute side. Watching him have a scene, he is about to be choked to death. The plot is also funny. Not to mention Robbie, it's very eye-catching. If this movie was in the Oscars at the time, I think it should have won the best supporting actor award.
This movie has always been a light-hearted rhythm. You watch it very lightly and feel very happy, and you don't have to worry about any horror and sadness behind it. At least I think that's what appeals to me about it. The special effects are well done. Especially when you see a car driving in the air, you will feel that this may be the future of mankind.
After watching this movie, I couldn't wait to check it out. When I saw that he was a work from 1997, I felt nothing but sighs in my heart. Although I knew this would never be a recent work, I never imagined that it would be a work from 15 years ago. Fifteen years ago, Hollywood's technology could already make such special effects, and Luc Besson could already portray such a story, which is really amazing. Then let's take a look at the domestic movies, those special effects, those ideas, not only a little disappointment can be described, it seems that we do have a long, long way to catch up. I believe that any prosperity is the same. The prosperity of movies, the prosperity of art, and the prosperity of a country are actually positively correlated curves.
After watching this movie, I decided to take a good look at all of Luc Besson's movies.
