west world without love

After writing it, I judged the pros and cons of film and television works based on my own feelings at the time, so it does not reflect the true level of the work. If I think it is not good, it can only mean that it was not made for me to see.

When I watched Westworld, I always felt that there was a big problem. After thinking about it for a while, I found the crux. This film seems to have no love. There are not many positive emotions in the memories of the androids, and the purpose of Ford's opening of the park is to use hatred, killing, and betrayal to awaken the androids, so I can't help but ask, what is the meaning of the awakened androids? Is it Arnold's original intention? Regret, depression, and grief do make androids look more human, but isn't love what is truly precious to human beings? Arnold caused the accident because he knew that the opening of the park would allow the androids to accumulate negative emotions and not learn true love.

The entire story line now is like a slave uprising wearing a sci-fi coat, releasing the hatred in his heart and repaying his own body with his own way. The worldview and values that were paved in front are now like a thin sheet of paper, pale and powerless.

Nolan's previous suspect tracking also talked about artificial intelligence. Although the ending is a bit rotten, the plot is compact, the characters are prominent, and there are laughter and tears. On the other hand, in Westworld, the narrative is generally good, the rhythm is slow, the characters are very thin, there are not too many contradictory personalities, it is easy to be labeled, some supporting roles have a lot of roles, but the promotion of the plot is almost zero. It was like a bowl of rice, but it was held by about 10 people, only the few who could touch the bowl, and the rest were watching the fun.

I highly recommend This is us here, a family drama, my best of 2016.

  • Dr. Robert Ford: The hosts are the ones who are free. Free. Here. Under my control.

  • Dolores Abernathy: [to Stubbs] Some people choose to see the ugliness in this world, the disarray. I choose to see the Beauty. To believe there is an order to our days. A purpose. I know things will work out the way they're meant to.
