It is speculated from the information in the play that the current narrative has two lines, one is the current time 35 years after Arnold's death, and the other is the period when the theme park first opened.
Now, the men in black have been playing in the park for more than 30 years, enjoying themselves at will, but they have been searching for the places indicated by the map and the meanings hidden in the story of the entire park. The plot has always been tricky on this point, so the author didn't quite understand it. He was supposed to take Lawrence, a man who appeared to be captive. In the first episode, the man in black went to Dolores' house to find her. In the latest episode, Men in Black kills Lawrence to save Teddy. Teddy is also a very complicated character, and the information about him can only be discovered in the future plot.
In the present timeline, Dolores' memories of the past begin to awaken, and she begins to trace the footprints of the past. So we can see from the play, especially the latest episode, that it often appears. In the same scene, she is alone at the beginning, but when the camera suddenly turns, there are many people around her. In fact, this is alluding to her memory, which is the intersection of the two timelines. When she is alone or without William and Logan and others, it is the present time, and when there are them, it is the past time.
In the past line, Dolores met William, and then followed William down a game path to meet Lawrence. In an incident in which Lawrence betrayed William, William abandoned his companion Logan and ran away with Dolores, but happened to meet Lawrence who escaped, so the two came together. The man in black did not say why he had been carrying Lawrence, but here William met Lawrence for the first time. It can be speculated that William was the man in black 35 years ago. And Dolores began to show signs of awakening in her contact with William 35 years ago.
A very interesting point is that 35 years ago, the scene where Dolores and William met was made into the story line of the later Dolores, and they met Teddy repeatedly. And 35 years later, the man in black intends to save Teddy. Whether Teddy has any special significance, and what is the intention of the man in black looking for Teddy, these are all new holes dug in the plot. Teddy is likely a clone for William, and William, an old player, knows Arnold's colleague Robert. What is the connection between them will only be known in the future.
In addition, the map in the hands of the man in black on the current timeline has the same pattern on the top of the coffin in the train that Dolores and William boarded in the past timeline. The graphic drawn by the receptionist who crushed himself to death in the previous episode also happens to be at the very center of the map. Where does this so-called map point, what does it mean, and what is the data of the park transmitted through the receptionist, and to whom it is transmitted. Who is the voice that has been talking to Dolores, is it Arnold? What was the purpose of asking Dolores to help him destroy Westworld before he died.
All in all, the show is starting to get interesting.
