Childhood shadows under sweat and tears

While watching a movie, I was thinking about four questions.
1. How many people's life tragedies come from unhappy childhoods? From a dysfunctional family?
2. How much faith can a person have to support his persistence and courage for what he cherishes?
3. From Dad's identity setting as a Vietnam War soldier to TOMMY's identity setting as a deserter in the Iraq War, did the director want to tell us what kind of shadow those who were lucky not to die in the war would live in?
4. Finally, the message "I LOVE YOU" that resolves the resentment between brothers can also calm the hatred of human beings.
In the promotional tape of the film, the phrase "what do you fight for?" always feels that it is not as simple as fighting on stage.

Warrior quotes

  • Tom Conlon: So you found God, huh? That's awesome. See, Mom kept calling out for him but he wasn't around. I guess Jesus was down at the mill forgiving all the drunks. Who knew?

  • Paddy Conlon: Alright. Alright. But you get something through your skull, too. You called me. So don't go threatening to walk every five minutes. And since this is about training, you dump whatever it is you need to dump as far as those pills are concerned. I don't want to see 'em. In fact, hand 'em over right now. I know they're on you, Tommy. You sounded like a goddamn maraca coming through the door.
