warriors of life

Tommy, abandoned by his father when he was young, and his eldest brother left home, and lived with his mother. When he grew up, he joined the army and was attacked by his allies on the battlefield. His comrades-in-arms died. He was disheartened and fled the army. From an early age, he lacked the love of his family, the love of his father and mother, the warmth of his family, and everything that happened in the army completely froze his heart.

His punches are quick, accurate, and ruthless, just like his character, indifferent and violent, direct and without leeway. But even so, Tommy's heart is kind. He participated in the boxing match in order to give the prize money to the widow of his comrade-in-arms; when he fled the army, he saw the trapped soldiers, and he went to rescue them regardless of his own safety. In the last game against my brother, when I stopped and saw him clinging to the fence and crying, it really hurt him, he was so stubborn. Just like our rebellious selves when we were young. What he wants most from the bottom of his heart is love, so when the elder brother says: I love you. The ice in Tommy's heart was released, he conceded defeat, and he cried against his brother.

Brendan, I don't think you should leave when the family needs you the most, even for love, not for your brother and mother who need you. At the most difficult time, I can imagine my brother's disappointment to his father and brother, and the pain he was carrying when he walked alone with his mother for the last leg.

Reconciliation with family members, reconciliation with ourselves, we may also have various misunderstandings with family members and friends in the process of growing up, but life is like this, in constant reconciliation, gradually grow up and face life directly.

Warrior quotes

  • Tom Conlon: So you found God, huh? That's awesome. See, Mom kept calling out for him but he wasn't around. I guess Jesus was down at the mill forgiving all the drunks. Who knew?

  • Paddy Conlon: Alright. Alright. But you get something through your skull, too. You called me. So don't go threatening to walk every five minutes. And since this is about training, you dump whatever it is you need to dump as far as those pills are concerned. I don't want to see 'em. In fact, hand 'em over right now. I know they're on you, Tommy. You sounded like a goddamn maraca coming through the door.
