From lone hero to sci-fi 3P, the tricked "all people" and "superman"

Heroes always have to have some personality to be cute and different. In addition to admiring their superpowers, people also hope to see in them some behaviors that they usually dare not do or can't do, so as to release the long-lost depression. Of course, for the general public, the popular maverick must always be within a certain range, otherwise it exceeds the limit that can be tolerated, and admiration and understanding will become abhorrent caused by jealousy and anxiety. The root cause of such a situation is not the maverick, but the starting point for the people to express their likes and dislikes and attitudes is always themselves.

Hancock, the national superman, is an annoying hero. He is alcoholic, sloppy, rude, vandalism, disrespectful to the old and caring for the young, not environmentally friendly or caring for animals, and doesn't care about other people's feelings. Basically, he's an asshole in public standards. Therefore, he is a guest star of crime and a public enemy of the whole people.
At a time when Hancock's way of existence is in crisis, he meets a self-proclaimed public relations star. The so-called public relations is probably a kind of work that benefits oneself in a way that others like. The public relations career in the film is not going well, and he still has personal ideals, so he looks quite cute. In order to repay his life-saving grace, he decided to help Hancock rebuild his image.

In the discussion (argument) of Hancock and his new PR, of course, the most important point is to change the current asshole. There is a sentence in the film that moved me very much - "It's not illegal to be a jerk" (the dubbing of the film seems to say "jerk", and this article unified "jerk"). At that moment, I thought that there was such a profound idea behind the original film. The description of maverick anti-social behavior is actually to expose and criticize the real social problems. Not acting in the way people are used to and regulated and not caring about being accused of being an asshole is disdain and contempt for the hypocritical real assholes in society who never admit that they are assholes, and it is a confrontational posture.

Of course, I was overthinking it myself. After Hancock's bastard and Cong Liang's quick transition, the screenwriter seems to have been unable to make a more in-depth and detailed characterization of the characters in this aspect, and at the same time increase the role of the heroine, the plot took a sharp turn, and the more sci-fi 3P appeared.
"Superman" is created, designated as an object, and assigned a task, but the object and the task cannot have both, because if you fall in love, your ability will disappear and you will die. The creator who made this arrangement is a murderer. Of course, this "creator" is not God. If it has something to do with it, it means that God created the person who told this story.
People often say that love is always beautiful. This is bullshit. Tell you that they are in love, show you their kiss, and then there is helplessness, pain and sacrifice, as if there is always a good love, in fact, this is a rude fool to the audience, so as to continue to pay for them to repeat again and again in the future .

In the end, the 3Ps returned to their original state without incident. Their attitude is quite enviable.
For the three leads, the jerkiness at the beginning, and the name Hancock, I can give this movie a 5.

Hancock quotes

  • Hancock: The way you deal with bullies - you take your right foot, bring it right up and catch him in his little piss pump.

Mary Embrey: You don't have to do that, honey. Okay? Seriously.

Aaron Embrey: It's a good idea.

Hancock: You aim straight, make sure he can't use that thing for nothin' but a flap to keep the dust out of his butt crack.

  • Hancock: [on Aaron's learning to deal with bullies] Ah the whole turn the other cheek thing huh?

    [pats Aaron's butt]

Hancock: Just never turn this cheek. Don't let them punk you.
