To Dallas Buyers Club
Regarding the subject matter, the most critical conflict in the film is that Matthew learned that he had HIV. The doctor told him that he had only a 30-day lifespan, and the FDA still did not have an approved anti-AIDS drug. AZT was directly put into clinical trials without animal experiments, and was pushed by the pharmaceutical factory , the attending doctor covered up part of the data, so Matthew started smuggling anti-AIDS drugs, and established the Dallas Buyer Club to provide non-compliant and plausible treatment for Aids patients.
In the film, AZT is directly masked, defined as the villain of the interest chain colluding with pharmaceutical companies and doctors. AZT, Azidothymidine, launched in 1987, the first anti-AIDS drug approved by the FDA, as a reverse transcriptase inhibitor, described in the 1987 NEJM RCT results These data demonstrate that AZT administration can decrease mortality and the frequency of opportunistic infections in a selected group of subjects with AIDS or AIDS–related complex, at least over the 8 to 24 weeks of observation in this study. (N Engl J Med 1987; 317:185–91.) The current mainstream anti-AIDS program, HAART, Lamy Vudine + tenofovir + efavirenz, also based on multi-target antiviral, the timing of treatment, the discovery is treatment. Another deified drug in the movie, (peptideT) T-peptide, what is it? T-peptide is a competitive inhibitor of gp120 glycoprotein binding to CD4 antigen. Use peptide T, HIV as keywords to search Pubmed, unfortunately, I did not search for high-profile journals like New England, and occasionally a few articles on the use of AIDS as an immune booster. Having said that, the point I want to express is that the conflict over the dark side of interests could have been stronger and fairer. Of course, little bugs don't make it an excellent movie.
About actors, acting skills, and sweeping the male lead and male supporting role has already explained everything, but, Leto, as a young master, that kind of melancholy temperament, that eyes, a frown and a smile, and that long legs, uh, I am a passerby. Matthew, I thought it was Uncle Bale, this kind of American uncle made me face blind, plus Jennifer Garner (haha, gossip a little, Big Ben's ex-wife) cast very much.
As for the idea, I don't like it, and it ended up falling into a cliché, a positive life; as for the shaping of the character, the director put a lot of effort, but more depends on the two excellent actors, the acting skills are really impeccable .
About the plot. . . I'm going to write my paper, forget it, I wrote this for the first time in 2018, put my dreams aside, and a sideline is king!
