Survival is full of clouds

I seldom watched Oscar-winning films before. First, I felt that most of the films were too boring. Second, I felt that my viewing level was not up to the level of those judges, and their perspectives on films were often beyond my reach.
Nowadays, nostalgic films, tribute films, and biographical films are prevalent. Although those Hollywood big-screen and big-production films have received a lot of box office, they are often just grandstanding and popular films for film festival judges. What really shines are these seemingly niche, seemingly literary films.
"Dallas Seller's Club", in the western United States, in the context of the 1980s, AIDS was still a terrifying disease that people talked about. At that time, there was no effective treatment, and there was only half a month of life to live.
Of course, the male protagonist can't just die like this. In order to live longer and enjoy this life that he has not enjoyed enough, he started to work as a drug dealer. How would you rate the protagonist? good people? He has indeed extended the lives of more AIDS patients by himself. the wicked? By selling medicines and making money wantonly, the poor who have no money will not give away a medicine no matter how pitiful they are.
In any case, the merits outweigh the demerits, and in the end, it is to abandon the evil and promote the good, after all, so many people have been saved.
But then again, this is also in the United States, wanting to sell drugs in China? no kidding!

"The Story of a Drug Dealer" is just a fascinating subject. In fact, this movie, like last year's "Plague Survival Guide", depicts the living conditions of patients in the United States in the 1980s when most AIDS drugs were not legal. Especially, the status of the LGBT community (still using the story of a very straight straight man). The beginning of the movie is very good (it will be better if you have a better focus later), and the actors are very brave.

The whole movie is unexpected and quiet, but it always seems to lack the fatal blow. This is the movie that best showcases Matthew McConaughey's acting skills to a certain extent, and he seems to have broken away from his once inherent acting state, reminiscent of Christian Bale in "The Mechanic", and Jared Lay Toro's performance even garnered some award nominations for supporting actresses.
