I want to live worthwhile - Ron is promiscuous, he's on drugs, he's sick. A dying man, doctors said he had only 30 days to live, and he kept buying illegal drugs in order to cure his disease. He came to Mexico and bought a truckload of medicines. Once discriminated against people, now it has become the discriminated party. A friend died because there was no medicine, he woke up, he fought for the patients, he sued the court. The situation was changed little by little, and he became a hero to his patients. Everyone has the right to live! He recalled the past, when a real cowboy, dancing with women, and wanting children, but nothing can be changed, at least he has grasped the present. When faced with desperation, only people think of change. Matthew McConaughey's plastic surgery performance is shocking, and he deserves the Oscar for best actor; Jared Leto's femininity is amazing, a rising star! Speak up for the underprivileged, the more movies like this, the better!

This movie looks very real. I am sure that there are people like this in the world. They find a real event, collect detailed information, produce a script with condensed essence, find excellent actors, and dedicate wonderful stories.

The world in the movie is not perfect, and it is valuable to be able to present this imperfection, it is a civilized society!

Dr. Vass: You will always test positive for HIV. And now you've got AIDS for all the toxic shit you've put in your body. You've shut your immune system and now you've got chronic leumonia, among other things. It could cause memory loss, mood swings, aching joints.

Ron Woodroof: So if it sucks, I got it.

  • Ron Woodroof: Do you ever miss your regular life?

Dr. Eve Saks: Regular life? What is that? It doesn't exist.

Ron Woodroof: Yeah, I guess. No, I know, I just... I just wanna...

    Dr. Eve Saks: What?

Ron Woodroof: Ice-cold beer, a little riding in. Well, take my woman dancing. You know? I want kids. I mean, I got one... one life, right? Mine. But sh... Fuck, I want somebody else's sometimes. Sometimes I just feel like I'm fighting for a life I just ain't got time to live. I want it to mean something.

    Dr. Eve Saks: It does.
