To be honest, the reason why I chose to make a special trip to watch this movie is because the trailer of this movie reminded me of a new movie "Don't Mess with Me" that I watched not long ago. However, the process of watching the movie can be described as difficult. When I went to the theater that night, there was another heavy rainstorm in Beijing. Although I didn't get caught in the rain on the way, the big screen was still white after more than 20 minutes after entering the theater. The explanation heard is that the strong wind and rain knocked down the pole and caused the circuit failure or the water washed out the underground optical cable. In short, although the waves are rough outside, I feel calm and relaxed when sitting in the comfortable environment of the cinema. Unexpectedly, after finally showing for half an hour, the screen suddenly had no image again, and only the sound continued to play. Since I watched the dubbed version, the crappy foreign names in the audio were disturbing. The longer half-hour time spent on this repair made the film basically my own. Such a movie-watching experience is really the first experience in my years of watching movies in a theater that is not too long.
The overall style of the film is not much different from what I imagined. In the United States in the 1960s and 1970s, political turmoil was rising, and there was widespread panic about the economy and society in the upper class. This breeds many stories of this and that. Wall Street in that era was prosperous, splendid and social, so many legends were born. In this film, a peerless liar who exploits the loopholes of capitalist society, politics and economy to deceive everywhere has to deal with the FBI commissioner, government officials and members of the Mafia, which legendaryly involves three relationships and a quadruple scam. Even more legendary comes a happy ending at the end. In this type of film, although this film is certainly not a classic or particularly wonderful, it must be worth watching. Just because the male protagonist is once again stable like a mountain, you should go and watch this "American Hustle".

  • Irving Rosenfeld: I'm like the fucking Vietcong, man, all right? I'm in and I'm out. I was there the whole time. You don't know it, all right? That's the fuckin' art of becoming somebody who people can pin their beliefs and their dreams on.

Irving Rosenfeld: We took down some very big guys. Some of whom, they were just doing business as usual, helping their communities or their states, but some of them knew they had larceny in their blood, and they even admitted it. But in all, it was six congressmen, one United States senator, and my friend Carmine Polito. We gave the two million back, so that Carmine got a reduced sentence, 18 months. The loss of his friendship would haunt me the rest of my life. When the story was written, Richie DiMaso's name was never mentioned. Syd and I, we moved in together. Rosalyn? She would always be interesting. Our conning days were behind us. You can fool yourself for just so long, that your next reinvention you better have your damn feet on the ground. We got a loan from a bank and were able to go gallery-legitimate. The art of survival, is a story that never ends.
