my doubts

Take advantage of the impression that you are still warm after watching it, and quickly record it.

1. Why does Thorward keep the window open? After killing people, he observed whether anyone was peeping, indicating that he thought of this.
2. Why when Lisa was found by Thorward, the babysitter (forgot her name) told Jeff that you could go on Tuesday, that's how you planned it anyway.
3. Why did Thorward go to Jeff's place to kill him when he knew that he might call the police? Isn't this a clear sign of murder? He should be a smart person, since he didn't run away immediately (this was considered smart in those days), and used postcards and administrators as evidence... From the incidents, it can be seen that he should be a thoughtful, action-oriented person. Someone with basis. Then how could he be stupid enough to throw people out in front of 50 windows?
4. Why do other windows appear in the movie? It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the theme? The dancing chick, the window that's always partying and the music coming out, the woman who attracts the butterflies, the single woman... What role do they play in the movie? Why give so many shots?

Remember these for now. Although there are many doubts, it cannot be denied that it is a very successful suspense film. In the 1950s, there were such films to watch, and Americans were so happy.

If you don’t kill the viewer, you will be complicit in voyeurism and conspiracy. It’s more interesting.

Grace Kelly's five outfits (one of them is pajamas) are so beautiful. . . This was nearly 60 years ago, not worse than the current Couture. With golden curly hair and red lips, she is graceful and she is a goddess

Rear Window quotes

  • Detective: [referring to what was buried in Thorwald's flower bed] He said the dog got too inquisitive, so he dug it up. It's in a hat box over in his apartment.

    Tom Doyle: Want to look?

Stella: No thanks, I don't want any part of her.

  • L.B. Jefferies: [shivering as cold alcohol is poured on his back before a rubdown] Say, don't you ever heat that stuff up?

Stella: Aw, it gives your system something to fight against.
