If it wasn't based on a real story, I would give this film two stars

I really don't understand how such a bland movie from a cinematic perspective can get such a high score. Just because the subject matter is inspiring? That's not the film's credit either. The male protagonist has not seen any growth in his acting skills from The Amazing Spider-Man to the social network. I don't know if this is the real situation. Why didn't the Japanese cut off the two fixed ropes of the climbing net. If it's true, it's certainly more plausible than the scene depicted in the movie. At that time, I was very anxious. Why did the Allies choose such a steep rock wall to attack, and the mentally handicapped Japanese had already killed the U.S. military without breaking the rope. What a climb up such a steep rock face. Even if the film is based on historical facts, I doubt it really is.

Guns are poison, faith is a dose of morphine. In the face of the human choice that is approaching the limit, there is no essential difference between the bayonet of allegiance to the emperor and the search for God's Bible. Faith can not only make a group of people like leeches, but also can make a person carry his obsession alone. The underground fortresses bandaged the enemy soldiers and rescued people in the field. It was unbelievable and still convinced, because we also believed in miracles at a certain moment. People who live in the fog never see themselves clearly.

This film is the most awesome, making Hacksaw Ridge into Silent Hill and devils into ghosts. For the first time, I was frightened by the horror scenes of a war movie, and felt that I was in the fear of soldiers.

Hacksaw Ridge quotes

  • Sgt Howell: [to Ghoul] You are a very strange-looking individual if you don't mind me saying so, Private.

  • Sgt Howell: Have you ever roped a goat, Hollywood?

    Hollywood Zane: No, Sarge.

Sgt Howell: Have you ever looked into a goat's eyes?

    Hollywood Zane: No, Sarge.

Sgt Howell: Good. That would be unnatural.
