Originally called "Baby Driver". A great commercial film.
It's about a young baby who, like all young people today, loves driving and listening to music. Go astray, get controlled by a gangster, and drive for a gang of robbers. He has committed crimes many times and escaped because of his superb driving skills.
For most of the film, we see the good side of the baby. He loves music, plays with his iPod all the time, and does soft commercials for Apple anytime, anywhere. He took good care of his adoptive father and loved his girlfriend wholeheartedly. When his accomplices entered the post office to rob him, he even reminded the employees outside with a wink not to enter. When stealing the car, don't forget to return the owner's aunt's wallet to her. Just because of a fever a few years ago, he fell into the den of bandits and was helplessly deceived by the leader. Qing is kind and innocent, but she cannot control her own destiny.
The baby is not a person who has no idea and is submissive. In order to live, he has to endure it again and again. Finally, he couldn't bear it when the bully of his accomplice pointed at his girlfriend. He used a series of extremely violent actions to prove himself and to dominate his own destiny. Of course, this is also the result that the director wanted after doing a lot of foreshadowing.
The last little detail, the girlfriend drove, walked with him on the road to escape, had a happy conversation together, and listened to the song that the dead mother of the baby once sang. Suddenly, several police cars in front blocked the road. The girlfriend subconsciously stepped on the accelerator, trying to rush over. At this time, the baby's foot resolutely stepped on the brake, stopped, opened the door, and raised his hands. For the safety of his girlfriend, he surrendered. He knew that prison would await him, but he had no hesitation, no despair, no pain. He knew that his spirit had been freed.
Compared with the last intense racing scene, I prefer the delicate side of the baby, the firm and simple eyes, the few lines, the dialogue with the adoptive father in dumb words, and the warmth of falling in love with his girlfriend. His life was supposed to be like this.
The other characters are also well drawn. The leader of the robbery is played by Kevin Spacey, the protagonist in "House of Cards", cunning and sinister and a little kind, and his performance is vivid. Jamie Foxx plays a stupid robber with little culture, who kills insidiously and viciously without blinking an eye, subverting the image of a good guy he played before. Having said that, a good actor should reflect the multiple personalities of various characters. Jon Hamm plays another robber, who is crazy for revenge for the death of his girlfriend. His acting skills are acceptable, and his image and speech are clearly De Niro's style.
The music of the film is also remarkable. It can be said that it is worth watching this film once for the music. Copy a comment from another friend:
"Director Edgar has carefully selected 30 pieces of music throughout the film: from folk sounds to psychedelic minors, from jazz hits to brainwashed heavy metal, from British rock to lyrical collage, hip-hop rap to blues graffiti, etc. With a variety of typical musical styles from the 1960s to the new century, Edgar abruptly made an action movie into a movie that can be "listened".
When the shot is fired, even the rhythm of the bullets can be matched to the beat of the music; the male lead is 100 yards on the Atlanta freeway and evading the police chase, while the car is playing the best playlist.
All of this happened in the movie. It's no wonder that the film is described as the "La La Land" version of the speeding blockbuster. "
The film describes an activity loved by all modern youth. Wonderful fashion experience. Maybe after watching this movie, many young friends have to think about listening to songs and racing cars again. Listening to music is harmless, but you can think about racing. That's actually a mass of meat fighting a bunch of gears. I remember that there was a big sister who was racing here not long ago and died in Huangquan. Is it worth it? Even if it's not so tragic, always be prepared for the police to come to your door. Why bother? I'm not against playing stimulation, as long as it doesn't affect others. Off topic, off topic.
If I have time, I would like to go to iMax to watch it again.
