The night gave us black eyes - after watching the British drama "Black Mirror"

March is the season when spring flowers bloom, grass grows and warblers fly.

More than 30 years ago, every season, I would sing songs with my classmates and walk out of the school gate with great enthusiasm, to send condolences to military family members, martyrs, families of five guarantee households, and to wipe down the traffic booths. The guardrail, to help the grandmothers cross the road, even if the road was quiet and orderly at that time, and there were hardly many cars passing by.

March is also the season for peace and stability of the country. The pillars and elites of the country gather in the capital to guide the country, scold Fang Qiu, and illuminate the way forward for all beings like me.

At the beginning of March 2012, I watched a British TV series called "Black Mirror", which is a short series with science fiction and absurdity, only 3 episodes, each episode is independent.

As you can tell from the name, this will not be a warm, hypocritical theme work.

The shrill sound of cats could be heard from the window from time to time, and the night was like lead.

(1) "Fifth Million Merits"

is the second story in the original play. My current ranking is actually based on my opinion from low to high.

Of course, that doesn't mean this episode is bad, it's just that radishes and vegetables each have their own love.

Although there is a certain imagination and dazzling special effects, the narrative method of this episode is still slightly old-fashioned and face-to-face. The protagonist is a good person with correct values. The other side of the society has naturally become the unjust side, that is, the object that should be criticized and condemned.

Of course, this simplistic dualistic narrative mode is not bad. It is a tried-and-true method for almost all commercial films. Even if the protagonist is not perfect, it will still make all audiences feel immersed in it. Everyone grows and matures with the protagonist. , challenge, and struggle to gain a sense of achievement similar to video game clearance.

But the problem is that "Black Mirror" is not a simple commercial blockbuster, on the contrary, it is a satire full of strong criticism of this increasingly commercialized society, and in this case, an already occupying moral The protagonist of the commanding heights will just weaken the objectivity of this criticism.

The only way to get everyone to withdraw from the characters in the film is to interpret the content of the film from a more on-the-spot perspective, and to complete the judgment based on the third-party point of view. Criticism will be more rational, sharper and more powerful.

Going back to "15 Million Work Points", after going through most of the old-fashioned processes, the explosive force at the end of the film is still quite shocking, which also enhances the value of the entire film and does not lower the drama "Black Mirror". The level of episodes (again, all three are pretty good, I just have some personal preferences).

When the protagonist was about to sacrifice his life to wake up the bewildered spectators and complete such a tragic and spectacular scene, he suddenly found out that his surging blood was just a show of dog blood, and at most it was for the sake of the whole people's chicken-blood carnival. seasoning.

In this case, compromise becomes the only option for the protagonist. At least, it can be exchanged for better living conditions, right?

My brother is no longer a low-level cycling coolie, but a well-dressed middle-class.

(2) "The Entire History Of You"

This is the third part of the overall situation. It tells the story of a middle-class family. The husband accidentally discovered his wife's former red apricot, which caused a series of quarrels, Accusation, indifference to death.

The mystery of the film lies in a kind of memory chip, which will become unforgettable after everyone implants this chip behind the ear. Notice the details.

Of course, this also makes everyone's privacy almost transparent. Although everyone cannot watch other people's memories without the permission of the other party, at least the government and the police have this right. However, since the film focuses on marriage and sexual relations, the issue of power intrusions into citizens' privacy is only a passing issue.

In this film, the setting of the hero and heroine characters is more plump and three-dimensional, and is no longer simplistic and conceptual. The male protagonist has encountered a career crisis from the very beginning, so he is sensitive, suspicious, alcoholic, and unreasonable. When you just tilt your sense of identity from the male protagonist to the female protagonist, you will find that he is pitiful and seems to suffer In fact, she has been lying because of great grievances and misunderstandings, that is to say, all the suspicions that her bastard husband imagined and fabricated, happened to be correct.

This is the most bitter irony.

For the interpretation of this film, there is often more focus on the chip. At the end of the film, the male protagonist dug out the chip bloody from behind his ear. The question is, is it all the fault of memory?

Everyone is the slave of their own desires, and at the same time, everyone hopes to bleach themselves calmly after indulgence, and continue to act like nothing has happened.

But, even without the chip, there will be something else.

For example, the computer of Teacher Chen in the photography industry.

(3) "The National Anthem"

This is the first story of the series. Perhaps because of its powerful shot, the latter two episodes are a little weak.

Before talking about this film, I need to talk about a test.

Suppose you are the driver of a tram, you see 5 workers working on the front of the track, and the brakes suddenly fail. If the tram rushes past, these 5 people will die, and suddenly you find there is another one on the right Track, there is only 1 worker at the end of this track, so if you turn the tram, you will run over this person, but the 5 people will be saved. Now the question: what would you do?

Whether many people will choose to turn the tram, and think it is necessary, at least to minimize casualties, seems to be the most correct choice.

Wait a minute, have you ever thought about it: when the tram rushes to 5 people, it is due to an accident, which is a passive behavior; and when the tram rushes to the 1 person, it is because of your driver's active choice, that is, when The moment you turn right with your hand on the steering wheel, in a way, you are a murderer!

Maybe you don't agree with what I said, then let's change the settings a little bit, this time you are no longer the driver, you are just a bystander, standing on the flyover next to you, seeing the impending accident, while leaning on the flyover With a big fat man, if you push him he will fall on the track, just enough to stop the tram, and he will die, but the 5 workers will be saved. Now, would you choose to push him off the bridge?

I believe that many people will not do this, because it is too much like naked murder. But if you don't have to push him by hand, but turn a device on the bridge like you're turning the steering wheel, the fat guy will fall off the bridge, will you do it?

Well, maybe your final choice is: just let it happen and let the accident happen. Although 5 people died, I didn't kill them on my own initiative. It's better in conscience.

So, the question at this moment has changed again. If the tram going straight will trigger a certain device, causing multiple explosions in a city, and killing millions of people, can you justifiably kill that innocent worker or fat man? Because you have saved more people, you are not only not condemned by your conscience, but also become a hero admired by thousands of people?

Finally, let me tell you that there is no standard answer to this question. It just shows us that once we compare it with some grand concepts such as collective interests, team interests, national interests, and national interests, the value of individuals and even life How vulnerable they are.

The above examples are not far-fetched, but are closely related to the story of "National Anthem".

The British princess has been kidnapped, and the kidnapper's request is very perverted: let the Prime Minister have sex with a pig and broadcast it worldwide, or the vote will be torn up.

Such nonsense would of course not be accepted, but the problem was that various attempts to rescue the princess had failed, and the kidnapper had cut off one of the princess' fingers to show that he was no joke.

At this moment, the whole country is in an uproar, and everyone feels that the safety of the princess' life is the first factor, so it is natural for the Prime Minister to make some sacrifices.

Of course, no one pointed a gun at the Prime Minister's head and asked him to do that kind of thing, but as a politician, he knew the importance of exchanging public opinion for political future chips...

There are more twists and turns in the back of the plot, but this is not the focus of my discussion. What I want to say is that it is similar to the test question above: this is the tyranny of the majority. Under the torrent, whether you are the bottom, the middle class or the top elite, there is nowhere to escape.

When the majority of people occupy the height of the right to speak, thus creating an atmosphere of a sense of justice, then all parties will become grand and logical, even if there will be bloodshed.

When wars burned Europe and Jews were sent to the crematorium decades ago, almost all the German people agreed that what they were doing was righteous and made the world a better place.

In the same way, when the young *red*guard* generals wielded belts and sticks to beat their teachers and parents, they were also burning with the fire of selfless justice, because they believed that only in this way would they bring about a happier, a better China.

(4) In these three episodes of Black Mirror

, the creators undoubtedly expressed great concern about the various disadvantages brought by the materialization of high technology to human beings.

The entire story of "15 Million Work Points" takes place in a digital virtual world. Humans have forgotten what is real and will never have a future; the memory chips in "Your All History" let us even the past that we have really experienced. It has become unbearable to look back; and in the "National Anthem" with the weakest sci-fi color and the strongest sense of reality, thanks to the highly developed Internet and media, "the tyranny of the majority" has the best platform for evil.

The condemnation of the unscrupulous media has always been talked about by all of us. Their pervasive gossip and hype have also been identified as the root cause of many things becoming more and more vulgar, but please think about why the media do this to do? In addition to justice, is it easier for each of us to click on those more powerful titles instinctively?

Those media that abide by their conscience and bottom line will have less and less living space. This is not the responsibility of the media, but the choice of our audience.

In each of us, there is more or less the shadow of the fat white man next to the hero in "15 Million Work Points".

Therefore, high technology is not the root of all evil, and people's talents are unpredictable.

It can also be seen from the tram test above that everyone will try to avoid killing themselves, but once the avoidance can be achieved in some way (just press the button and turn the steering wheel), then even if the final result of depriving others of life is the same Yes, but we'll be more at ease doing it.

Look, we are all a group of very caring people, enthusiastic about public welfare, concerned about environmental protection, and love the motherland; we chew some animals, and then weep for the misfortune of other animals; Stepping on an ant, tapping a few keyboards and clicking a mouse at night, maybe other people's wealth, freedom, self-esteem and even their lives will be legally deprived in the powerful "public opinion"...

and we will not have the slightest psychological Discomfort, on the contrary, because of the banner of a sense of justice, we even obtained the psychological satisfaction of being a hero in it.

Now, leave your computer, go to the bathroom, the dresser, or in front of the big closet, find a mirror and take a good look at it, remember the person in the mirror, and silently say to yourself: "If this world becomes Even worse, he (she) is also one of the accomplices."

(End) It's purely fictional .

In fact, in the episode of "National Anthem", there are some deleted plots at the end.

The animal protection organization filed a lawsuit and took the British *government* to court: "You let that pig be raped by the Prime Minister, and it is broadcast live around the world, no matter whether the pig's chastity and reputation have suffered greatly. Loss."

The spokesperson of No. 9 Downing Street scoffed at this, and specially held a media meeting to clarify: "When the pig is dried by the Prime Minister, it is as simple as opening a water pipe, natural and painless. After that, the pig will go out happily. Played. I don't feel any different, I even feel comfortable and enjoy."
