The result is that superficial connotations are exposed under the appearance of enthusiasm.
It's all about the spirit of the sneakers: buddy, impossible is nothing, let's just do it.
This kind of thing sounds good to be inspirational, but in fact it is just like "how bold a person is and how productive the land is", it is pure deceit. They do not recognize that some things in the world are impossible, and they do not recognize that some things cannot be done. They fabricate unfounded and beautiful lies, transmit blind self-confidence to the audience, and foster their speculative psychology.
The reason why Rocky is so awesome is that he has surpassed the superficial sneaker spirit and the vulgar routines of inspirational films. Rocky admitted from the beginning that some things in this world are impossible:
——Can't do it.
--what?
——I can't beat him.
-Apollo?
--right.
Sure enough, he eventually lost the game and did not surpass the limit of ordinary people.
This is too uninspiring.
There are no rhetoric in this movie. The protagonist does not have a tall image. Even the last climax has no slow motion or exciting music. Only two strong men are seen: the white one is labelled as a dog, and the black one. Tired into a dog, both dogs are equally smelly. When it's over, the film ends in a hurry.
For most of the time, the movie even seemed dull. Actually, there is no arrogant devil who is responsible for insulting the protagonist and inspiring the viewer's heart of the same enemy. ——Why is this not true in real life? Some of the fucking losers among all living beings really encounter provocations every day, and most of them are not wasting their lives in the muddle.
A blunt knife cuts the meat and kills without seeing blood. Isn't it more terrifying than a sharp blade. A group of frogs waiting to die in warm water.
"You have been willing to help me for so long, and it took ten years to come to my house. I don't want your help, don't preach to me! Talk about your heyday... Mike, what about mine? At least you still have his heyday, I have nothing. Day after day, I am nothing."
Rocky is such a fucking loser. More often, he didn't even have a chance to vent this full of complaints. Whether or not ambition can be realized is one thing; whether there is ambition is another. The latter is Rocky's problem.
Just like Rocky’s girlfriend Yardrian, everyone thinks she is a loser, her brother also thinks she is a loser, and even she takes it for granted that she is a loser. Old girl, she didn't fall in love, but she herself couldn't keep up with the matter of going out on a date.
I have been willing to fail for too long, and my ideal has become a mockery of myself. Even when the opportunity is in front of you, you will lose your self-confidence, hesitate, and imply that you "I don't want it" because of fear of another setback and failure.
Rocky’s anxiety lies in this: on the
one hand he could not control his true wish "I must fight!", on the other hand he was pessimistic, "My legs are not strong enough, I can't do anything... I went to play this game, and was Fix it hard." While
he resented Mike's refusal to help himself for ten years, he was eager for Mike's help. As a result, he had to ask for help in the form of refusal, or in the form of asking for help: "You help me! You come to help me! I'm standing here, you come to help me!"
What is success for a "crappy guy" like Rocky? Success is not about accomplishing an impossible thing, but about retrieving the courage to live.
It’s like Yadrian’s final explosion to her brother:
"What do I owe you? Pauli, what do I owe you? I treat you so well, I cook and wash for you...I am taking care of you, Pauli, and me. I don't owe you. You make me feel that I am a loser, I am not a loser!"
Love gives Yardrian courage. At that moment, she had already succeeded.
The anxious Rocky finally found the answer on the eve of the game. He said to Yardrian:
"Forget it, Yardrian, this is a fact, I am an unknown person. But it doesn't matter, you know? Because I have been Thinking, it doesn’t matter if I lose, it doesn’t matter if he breaks my head, because I just want to stick to it. No one can play the entire game with Apollo. If I can play the entire game, when the bell rang, I still Standing on the court, I will understand for the first time in my life that I am no longer a crappy
guy ." This is where Rocky is stronger than sneaker-style inspiration: he is true, sincere, and can inject strength into people's hearts. Therefore, the final game seems to be the climax of the whole film, but in fact it is just a natural result. When Rocky trained hard in the early morning and ran up high to be intoxicated by himself, he was already his own king.
We admit that some things in this world are impossible, but we have to live bravely. We can't fly, but every step we take must be firm and strong.
