house of cards review
I finally finished watching this very popular TV series in 2013. Both the plot and the performance of the screen shots are very good and attractive. But what I want to say today is not about the show itself, but about the extended feelings after watching the show.
Fu, the protagonist in House of Cards, is really a very admirable person. I think I can learn many of my habits from him, and strive to make myself better and stronger. But after watching this movie, I felt that if there was really so much fighting and intrigue about elections, I suddenly felt that the price of freedom was a little too high - so many smart people spending so much on this kind of thing It's really sad to have time and a full brain instead of spending it on the development of science.
At the same time, I also observed another thing, which is the situation in the United States during the epidemic. The United States is the most powerful country in the world. This power depends not only on economic strength and military strength, but also cultural strength, legal strength, and scientific and technological capabilities. etc. all-round.
But even in such a powerful country, in this epidemic environment, there are still so many problems and it is unable to deal with emergencies. This really taught me a real lesson about the importance of centralization. Although the current situation in the United States is that the central government has done a lot of wrong things, I think the bigger reason is due to the decentralization of power. Everyone has their own ideas. Therefore, various unfavorable results were produced.
So at this time, combined with the practices I have experienced in other literary works or games, if it is a dictatorship, is it possible that it is more conducive to the development of civilization as a whole?
After all, in the face of emergencies, only concentrating efforts and unified management can solve the problem more efficiently, and relying on the spontaneous decentralized solutions of the people cannot get the optimal solution. In the future, I think this kind of sudden situation will be more and more, not less and less.
Of course, at this point, I still need to add that the main problem of a dictatorship is whether the ruler can always be right, and under this system, you can't control the ruler (otherwise, it will not be called a dictatorship).
So what does the future look like? I don't know, but I'm looking forward to it and I want to see that day.
