This man may be unremarkable, and may be comical, but he loves her with all his heart and regards her as a princess. He is caring, responsible, and happy. No matter how difficult the environment is, he can laugh happily and make others laugh too. She chose such a man, and gave up the choice of glory and wealth, I don't think she will regret it. Years later, she followed him and their son to the concentration camp without hesitation, and I think he was right in choosing her. In the concentration camp, when he pretended to be smiling and played the game with his son that did not know the end, when he seized every opportunity to express to her the news that they were still alive and his deep love, even before he died I was moved when my son made the gesture of striding forward indifferently. She was able to choose to go with him under the circumstance of being surrounded by glory, just based on those few encounters, how decisive she was. Maybe she's gambling, but I'd say she has eyesight.
