The film that I am most looking forward to this year is the Korean film "Parasite" which won the Palme d'Or with unanimous votes at the Cannes Film Festival. As a person who loves Korean films and admires the courage and talent of Korean filmmakers After nearly three months of anticipation, I finally got a glimpse of its style. Before watching the movie, I knew that it was a realistic movie that reflected social class, but after actually watching it, I felt that this was not just a movie that simply emphasized the gap between the rich and the poor, on the contrary, I saw that the rich people in it also had a simple On the cute side, there are also conspiracies and deceptions at the bottom. It can be seen that the director did not deliberately use this theme to win awards, but concentrated on making a good movie, because the characters in it are full of personalities, and the faces of the three families are vivid.
Secondly, I want to write about the pictures that shocked me. The first scene is the picture of the basement. This is a big turning point in the movie, and the impact is very strong. The original maid is not a glamorous middle class, but also A bottom, and the experience is very similar to that of the male protagonist's family. They are forced to go this step because of business losses and debts. Everyone has their own difficulties, but there are also dirty parts. For example, the husband of the former maid completely enslaved himself and lost his basic dignity. Even before his death, he was flattering to President Park; On the other hand, the mother of the male protagonist did not hesitate to give the maid a kick. I think this is a very eye-catching detail. The devil is often hidden in the details. This is the specialty of director Bong Joon-ho. There are often small details in the film that seem to have nothing to do with the plot, but these small details make the characters they create more real. The second act is the end of the movie. The cruel killing scene really surprised me. The stone that the male protagonist used to bring good luck eventually became a weapon to hurt him, as well as President Park's nose covering and his wife's Opening the window reminds the role of smell in the movie all the time. The disparity between classes is expressed through the sense of smell, and it also becomes the fuse for the bottom-level stab at the rich.
In short, the director uses a neutral lens to depict the inevitable problems of each society, which makes "Parasite" more realistic. Finally, I pay tribute to the director's sense of social responsibility, and at the same time hope that more such films will appear in our country, instead of Whitewashing is peaceful.
