In the comics, Bruce has since become a superhero with no weaknesses. But that's none of our business - Bruce in the movie isn't like that. This Bruce is even more violent, the criminal branded as a bat is equivalent to a death sentence, but he doesn't seem to have mercy; what's more, this Bruce actually kills! You know, Batman's first iron law is not to use guns, not to kill people. In other words, the entire Batman kills enough The Joker to laugh to death more than ten times. Although it can be explained as a visual effect of the movie, and there is no scene where Batman kills directly, but Bruce's radicalism in this movie is evident. He's not the level-headed, righteous and unselfish Batman we think of him. He was even more emotional, and was pushed to the extreme by Luthor.
But once the line of violence is touched or even crossed—killing—where is the line between vigilantes and vicious criminals? Both are themselves outside the law - criminals disregard the law for personal gain, while Batman fights crime outside the law. One uses violence for personal gain, and the other uses violence to suppress violence, but under the spirit of the rule of law, both are violent.

Bruce himself knew, "We are criminals". But he had good reason to believe that he could maintain a just and clear head. In the main world of comics, he does have the capital of self-confidence and the qualifications to question other heroes, but Superman doesn't believe it. From the reader's point of view, we naturally fully believe that heroes can always defend justice. But under real circumstances, can we allow anyone to do whatever they want outside the law? Superman thinks, can't.
2. The main line of Superman
This story is about Clark Kent's stubborn and difficult insistence on being a good person.
As an ordinary person, Da Chao, whose name is Clark Kent, is a simple country boy who grew up in a small rural town until he graduated from high school. The adoptive father once persuaded Clark not to reveal his superpowers because it would make humans feel uneasy and terrified (in BVS, it turned out to be the case). Clark eventually decided that this was wrong and that he should use his superpowers to do good. So, as Superman's biological father, Joel, said, "He will become their (human) god".
The Met erected a giant statue of him, crowds outside the fire scrambled to kneel and touch him, and refugees in the flood painted a giant Superman logo on the roof. The mother explained that it was just that she had no interest in traveling. He responds gloomily, I just wish it was more simple, wishing things were simpler than they seem. But to a budding rural boy, how complicated the bustling world is. Amid the skepticism from the whole society, Superman also doubted himself.

Then, Luthor hides a bomb under Wallace's wheelchair (in the original version it was clear that Wallace didn't know about it, but the episode was cut), stirring up public opinion by sacrificing everyone present. Everyone questioned, including Superman himself, who blamed himself. Why didn't Superman see the hidden bomb? (This is because the box is plated with lead, and Superman's see-through ability cannot penetrate lead. This episode was also cut)

He just wanted to be a good person, but the world has placed the expectations of God on him, can he satisfy it? With great power comes great responsibility. The lying female witness said on TV provocatively: "I want to look him (Superman) in the eyes and ask him, how to determine which lives are valuable and which are not?" This is exactly what Louise was worried about. "Is it possible, while loving me, yourself?". Superman failed to do things well again and again, and he was deeply remorseful and even desperate. He just wants to be a good person, but it is difficult to settle down in a sinister world. He couldn't keep himself.
So he had to start "wandering". Hollywood directors seem to especially like to let the lost protagonist go around the snowy mountains and do meditation. But I prefer to understand it this way: Clark's complete redemption is his own redemption after he saves Batman.
3. Batman and Superman: Two lines are intertwined

Clark came to Gotham City in search of a female witness who had perjured and framed Superman, but found darkness shrouded in the city. Smallville is the name of the village where Clark lives, a pun here, and it means that Clark is too old-fashioned as a reporter to follow social hot spots. But it can be seen that he is recalling a lot of past events. The easter egg in the next scene introduces:

Two good people, but inevitably there will be a battle.
Then Batman turns on the heroic bat light. Then Luthor sent Superman. Superman was just forced to meet Batman, he didn't mean to fight, he was a good guy. Batman has to race against the clock - is there really not much fear in fighting God of War with a mortal body? Superman is also angered by Batman's various organs, and the war is about to break out.
Then comes the climax of the whole film.
As Batman raised his spear for the final stab, Superman called out Martha's name. The coincidence that happened 80 years ago - the mothers of two comic characters who will be famous all over the world, were given the same name by the two authors - finally brought up by the director today. It's the only word that makes Batman stop when every second counts. At this moment the whole world fell into silence:

Those brief seconds of silence seemed like a lifetime in the battle. Bruce heard Martha, what did he see?

The failure of the commercial

Now comic book fans are sweating for DC - there is a direct reason, the failure of the Green Lantern movie in 2011 caused Warners to postpone the entire Justice League movie plan, and Green Lantern directly pushed it to 2020. The DC movies are now starting to catch up, so they're a little impatient, stuffing an otherwise good movie very full. The easter egg actually squeezed out the main plot. It is very exciting for the fans, but not very friendly to the wider audience.
Comics are not exclusive to children, and comics can also be very profound. For example, DC's "Watchmen" won the Hugo Award. Back then they were not just pictures, but "graphic novels". DC should also stick to a basic line from Nolan to Zach, that is, the movies they make are not the same type of "superhero movies" that fully compete with Marvel, but a unique "comic movie". Luthor
people say that Marvel looks at superheroes and DC looks at supervillains. It's not that DC superheroes aren't good-looking, but DC's villains are just amazing. Recently, there are clowns, two-faced people, Harley Quinn, Luthor and so on. "Suicide Squad", which failed to be released in the mainland, is a story with a villain as the protagonist. These villains really have personalities, and the company even creates comics with them as the protagonists.
The Luthor in this movie is very different from the traditional character in the comics. Luthor in the comics is bald, taciturn, and full of domineering. And the Jesse Eisenberg version of Luthor in the movie became very talkative and a little crazy. It feels as if it's a clown imitating Heath Ledger. But if you appreciate it seriously, you will know the difference. Heath Ledger's Joker is almost insane because he advocates criminal art and hopes to challenge the system without bottom line. And Jesse Eisenberg's Luthor, is to highlight and magnify Luthor's arrogance, probably hoping to show a self-righteous genius image, so he went crazy.
As mentioned above, Luthor and Batman have the same starting point. They both believe that Superman is a great threat to mankind and are wary of totalitarianism. Luthor's father was born in East Germany, and he grew up eating spoiled biscuits. But every other Saturday, he had to go to a parade, waving flowers at the tyrant. So Luthor was wary of Superman, to the point of abhorrence, because he wouldn't allow the day to come again when his offspring waved daisies under the reviewing stand.
However, the two parted ways in practice. Luthor's starting point is reasonable, but he is willing to sacrifice a lot to discredit Superman. The logic here is not clear. Did what he worried about happen, or did he create what he worried about? Maybe Zha Dao didn't like this villain very much, and in the end he didn't arrange his logic to be as brilliant as the clown in TDK.
