mediocre biographical film

It's true that we rarely see movies about American slavery. Of course, Quentin's "Django Unchained" is my deepest image, but it's not a serious way of expressing it. Perhaps because this film is based on real events, the main focus of the whole film is to tell Solomon's experience, but it lacks spiritual sublimation. I think the biggest highlight is the performance of the supporting actor Michael Fassbender and the black actor who won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar this year. There are a lot of weird emotions mixed between master and slave. I think this film is generally average, since "Slumdog Millionaire" I have not agreed with the best picture Oscar.

Two shots are unforgettable: a three-minute long shot when Solomon was hanged, and the rest of the black slaves walked around, turning a deaf ear to this. This conflict is no longer confined to blacks and whites; when Solomon drew Patsey, a piece of blood bloomed. Fog, that whip smashed the light of human nature to pieces.

McQueen attaches great importance to visual effects, contrasting the cruel and unacceptable suffering with a picturesque southern American idyllic scene. The scene where Solomon is hanged is the most prominent. This kind of alienation effect is somewhat similar to Fassbender’s "Fear Swallowing". soul". But this still can't support a 134-minute feature feature film. There are too few substantive ups and downs. If the goal is to stimulate the audience's sympathy, 90 minutes is enough.
