For thinking about freedom and life, we are always fighting against ourselves. In the film, to give up struggle is to become a slave that obeys every word forever. Slaves can survive, but they do not have a decent and dignified life. In real life, to give up fighting means to stop learning and progress, and lose dream life in a limited space. The Walking Dead...

But for the plot, it's quite normal, flat, no climax, no pleasure like "The Shawshank", maybe this is the director's intention, in short, the subject matter is awesome, and you can't appease the Yanmar people without some awards.

  • Tibeats: My name is John Tibeats, William Ford's chief carpenter. You will refer to me as Master. Mister Chapin is the overseer on this plantation. He is responsible for all of Ford's property. No slave has escaped here with his life. You're here to work niggers, so let's commence.
