More than ten years later, in the last generation of DVDs, I finally received a set. It took me two days to read it in one go, and I almost died from watching it.
Alien 1 Alien 1979 I
didn't expect the first episode to be filmed by Ridley Scott. I like the old man's "Black Hawk Down" and "Kingdom of Heaven" very much, and I like the way he speaks before the movie starts on the DVD , very cocky. But 1979 is too far away, especially the underdevelopment of special effects technology, which makes the film look bad 30 years later, which is fatal for science fiction. Because I already knew what the alien looked like, it didn't have much effect in terms of suspense. IMDb scored 8.5, ranking 48th, a large part of the factor is because of the film's ground-breaking status.
Aliens 2 Aliens 1986 It is
undeniable that James Cameron is really a genius. Before 2000, none of the films he handled were not awesome, and he was looking forward to the upcoming "Avatar".
As a sequel, I personally feel that "Alien 2" surpassed the first episode, which is like "Terminator 2" surpassing "Terminator 1". While the first episodes of both were groundbreaking movies, it was episode 2 that really peaked.
Alien 3 Alien³ 1992 The
third episode is the most incongruous in the quartet. As David Fincher's debut, he has been reluctant to admit that it is his own work because of 20th Century Fox's "interference." ', causing the film to deviate from the director's intent. And in 2003, when 20th Century Fox released the "Alien Quadrant Collection Set", it still adopted the three no-rules of "no interviews, no commentary tracks, and no director's version". Looking at "Alien 3" now, although it has the style of David Fincher, it is too preachy and mixed with too many religious elements, making the film long and boring.
Each of David Fincher's subsequent films has been quite successful, especially "Seven Deadly Sins", "Fight Club" and "Rejuvenation", but only this "Alien 3" was ruined.
Alien 4: Resurrection Alien: Resurrection 1997
I admire Hollywood writers who can pull out a movie that ended 5 years ago and add another episode, and even make the protagonist come alive.
The director Jean-Pierre Genet is less famous than the directors of the first three films, and the only work that can tell the story is "Amelie".
Perhaps because of preconceived notions, I personally like this one very much, especially the ending part. And only this one makes me feel like time flies faster.
Finally, I have to talk about starring Sigourney Weaver. The time span of the four parts is so large, but her performance at each stage is quite flavorful. This woman is 180cm tall~~~
