The great German expressionist film master Murnau used his keen sense of light and shadow to magically show us a nightmare world of Gothic. The blue lens tone creates a gloomy breath of death in the picture, marveling at the birth of the film. The film coloring technology that has been in existence since 20 or 30 years has given me a deeper sensory understanding of silent films. Murnau’s lens attaches great importance to the intensity of light and shadow and the visual contrast caused by different tones inside and outside, thereby highlighting the atmosphere, and paying attention to the promotion of the plot by the switching of the environment. The simple photography skills seem to be lagging behind today. Constantly praised by future generations.
