Emotions

Villenueuve is really good at manipulating feelings. Whether by scores, by plots, or by shots. He may not be the best director in terms of skills or visions, but he is a master of emotion control, sensed by audiences who are willing to pay attention and immerse in. You slowly, unconsciously dive into the magic world he created, and flow with the shots. You're left in awe with the lights, the buildings, the smog, sand and snow, attracted to the world the characters live in, moved by the joy they deeply enjoy, the love they bitterly miss and the death that inevitably to come. It feels like a touching yet strange dream, a dream you simply don't want to wake up. The plot has its flaws, and it's better to end in the snowflakes, but the world is real, frighteningly real.

The so-called father-son emotional family reunion theme is not right. The final point of the movie is that K discovers that he was born naturally, and his childhood memories are also real. His existence proves that replicators are not fakes of human beings. Just like humans, he was looking for the source of the phenomenon of natural reproduction of replicants, so he was looking for Deckard, not just looking for his father. The final reversal, of course, has Villeneuve's consistent techniques in it, but it actually makes people feel more emptiness. Although the natural reproduction replicator is a miracle, what is the difference between her and the created replicator (K) ? Just like in the previous movie, Deckard chased down the replicants to the end and found that what he did was meaningless. For K, natural reproduction also lost its "miracle" status in his heart. After watching Joi's projection, K resolutely decided to save Deckard and send him back to his daughter, showing that he does not agree with the behavior of the so-called "replicant army". Dying for the right cause, for K, the right cause is not to kill Deckard and devote himself to the revolution, but to reunite the father and daughter, and he returns to the original human uniqueness, that is, emotion, love and kinship (just the represents more than just family reunion). Emotions initially differentiated between humans and replicants, but this development has also proved that there is no difference between the two. Natural reproduction is the legitimacy brought about by technology, and it is also another alternative to the extended lifespan that the first roy asked for, and emotion is another key element in replicating a human being.
