As the saying goes: Human beings are inherently good, and my heart is originally towards the sun. And "The Great Gatsby" made me see the ugly, cold, ruthless side of human nature. In order to pursue the person he loves, Daisy, Gatsby did everything in his power to make himself a rich man. The high-society drunken fans brought him countless so-called friends, so that his image spread in luxury villas before he actually saw him. Gatsby is funny. So humble is his soul behind his illustrious reputation that he relies almost entirely on an all-night green light across the bay for his hope. At the moment when Daisy and Gatsby meet, an absurd comedy-like life story comes quietly, as if it is destined to be a terrifying parting. One is the entanglement between Tom and his mistress Mrs. Wilson, the other is the reluctance between Gatsby and Daisy. When Gatsby and Daisy lost control of their emotions, who would have thought of endangering Mrs. Wilson's life. This series of tragedies makes people feel fearful, although there was romance and warmth before, it may be more ironic! When Gatsby lost his life, no one came to mourn him. Daisy didn't even send a bouquet of flowers, but chose to fly away with his husband Tom to escape the responsibility of all this. It can't help but make people hate it to the bone, but also extremely annoyed. There's nothing we can do, it's a tragedy of the times... After reading it, I seem to be able to understand the ugliness at that time, but I don't seem to understand anything. Thoughts are too empty. But no matter what, the floating life is too short, even if it is stuck in the throat, you and I should always be grateful.
