Juno is an elf, her nonchalance, her eclecticism, her mouthful of teenage slang and her wild imagination benefit from the tolerant and beautiful environment created throughout the film. None of Juno's parents, friends, or adoptive couple ever tried to instill in her any big truths about life, responsibility, and self-control, but they all worked together to give her a great solution to the big problem, while the little ones didn't. The girl has really grown up. The only heaviness in the film is juno's confusion after knowing that Mark and Venessa are breaking up, is there really everlasting love? Juno's father's answer was simple: The one who truly love you can see sunshine even over your ass.
I also admit that the movie is a bit too utopian, especially for a 16-year-old girl who is still able to get pregnant after an out-of-wedlock pregnancy. Be a little girl again, sitting on the steps with her little boyfriend and playing the piano. However, after seeing so many heavy and complicated worlds, what's wrong with being a little more relaxed and warm. At least this movie tells us that no matter how complex the world is, it can be simple if you will.
