The film shows us something. At the first glance, the film is about the battle for a beautiful women, Helen, and when the King of the Troy first saw Helen, he said' I've heard rumours of your beauty." hero sad beauty, so did Paris. Because the king of the Sparta wanted to grab back his wife from troy, the king of the Greece, for certain, will help him to do this. But further consideration, the film is about the greed of King of the Greece, who has planned to conquered Troy for many years. Given the plausible reasons, the battle, for the sake of king's wife, the power or something else, was breaking out.
Make long analysis for short. I would like to take two men into consideration, One is Achilles, the greatest warrior in Greece, the other is Hector, the elder prince of the Troy.
Unlike other people, Achilles served for no gods but himself. I remember that he said he was born for the war. Although he was rude, arbitrary, or somehow arrogant to some degree, he was justice for something and died for briseis at the end . He devoted to nothing but to his cousin as well as briseis, the girl with whom he fell in love. He was dead for love and finally found his goddess.
In contrast, Hector died for tragedy. It seemed to be a nightmare that Hector take the responsibility of his brother on his own shoulder since Paris have took Helen away from Sparta. I've thought for a while and was haunted why hector chose to accept the revenge of Achilles even though he did know that he was unlikely to be a rival of Achilles. Furthermore, Hector had a lovely son and pretty wife, he would not want to die for any reason, would he ? But anyway, for the sake of honor, or for the honor of Troy, maybe it is the plot to make this tragedy that create a greatest man whose action will give us the emotion of the tragic beauty and thinking about the meaning of life.
