Really great lady! It is not an ordinary brain-burning detective film. The first half of the film directly confesses how the "murder" happened. But after gradually pulling the cocoon layer by layer, it was really touching when the final truth was revealed. Compared with the despair and darkness at the end of ordinary brain-burning films or detective films, this ending is full of positive energy. In the middle, I actually kept thinking that it is impossible to tell the truth like this, and I was still waiting for the little nurse to become a bad person. But the script was really well written, and the actors' acting skills were so good (especially the detective and the little nurse), I was always in a state of doubt and thinking.
However, this story still fully and hilariously shows the selfishness and greed of human nature. The old man's house is full of classical and luxurious decorations, and the people in this family dress with dignity and sophistication everywhere. But the atmosphere is full of decay and hypocrisy. Although everyone claims to be "self-made", it is actually because of the father's initial support; everyone is filled with righteous indignation at the father's death, but in fact, the most important thing is the huge inheritance. The old man is well aware of the inferiority of the people in this family, and he is very remorseful. He hopes to teach his descendants one last lesson through his will before his death. He really liked the words of his grandson Ransom, "Confident, stupid, protected. Playing life like a game without consequence, until you can't tell the difference between a stage prop and a real knife." It's true that he didn't distinguish between fake knives and real knives. He felt that the old man must have lost his mind to give the inheritance to an outsider, but in fact, the old man saw it better than anyone else.
Compared with other people, although the little nurse from Brazil is out of tune with them, she is kind-hearted, honest and reliable, and she is the only one among so many people who can patiently accompany and listen to the old man. The most rare thing is that she has the courage to do the right thing at a critical moment, at a moment when it will really matter to her future, even if doing so will send herself to prison. In the conversation between the detective and the grandmother, "The complexity and the grey lie not in the truth, but what you do with the truth once you have it". Some people choose to hide the truth, some choose to speak it out, and the little nurse is the kind of person who even vomits when she tells a lie. It is precisely because the old man appreciates her that he chooses to leave all his inheritance to her. At the end, it is also God's will, there are so many knives, most of them are real knives, but Ransom grabbed a fake knife and came out XD
Perhaps a beautiful and even unrealistic message conveyed by this story is that good people are rewarded. The detective said the sentence can be used as a summary, "Best judge of character is a dog". Those two dogs like the little nurse so much and hate Ransom so much, which is also a metaphor for a very simple thing.
