All my life I wanted to be close to God, and I ended up getting closer to silence. After beating up a man who was fooling around with her daughter, Marty cheated again, and his wife found out. Rust continued to track down the murderer. He knew that the real murderer was not caught, but was considered to be mentally abnormal by the police station. The murderer came from the church, and the church is very powerful. Rust continued his investigation, touching the church, and he was suspended. Marty's wife finds Rust, they get tangled, things get complicated, and the wife tells Marty what happened. Rust and Marty break up, and Rust resigns.
