have to say that the definition of mental illness is actually very vague.
No matter what it is, faith is the spiritual pillar for people to live.
Just disagree on what to believe.
In my opinion, it is permissible as long as it does not prevent harm to others, and we do not have to give belief a standard.
Since no one actually cares about your existence, let alone your bullshit beliefs.
In fact, all interventions by others and any attempts to change are futile.
The chances of recovery from "mental illness" are very rare, always Cycle Recycle, endless.
Even if you die, you still actually conquer the outer world, because you stay forever in the spiritual world at the moment of your death.
If so, then we are all sick, just as the Bible insists that we are all sinful.
We are cold, we are cruel, we are jealous because we are greedy, American Psycho is very real.
A name is just a codename, but it is undeniably a symbol of our identity.
But no one remembers it except ourselves.
Colleagues and friends around you, you eat together, spend time together, and have fun together.
You thought you were talking about your acquaintances, but in fact you were talking about Zhang San, and he thought it was Li Si.
No one can tell who is who other than himself.
Because everyone else is the same except me.
One of your friends dies, you kill, fear swells inside you, you kill, you kill, you can't stop.
But no one doubts you, because the family of the deceased did not know the deceased, they just wanted to cover up the scandal.
You can't bear the roar of fear in your heart, you confess, but no one notices the disappearance of a person, a colleague, a friend from their side.
So everyone thinks you're telling a joke, and in the end you don't know if you actually killed someone.
You should kill it, because there is obviously videotape evidence that you took it yourself, but someone told you "You are joking".
Or maybe you didn't kill it, it's all just your imagination because there are always people claiming they've seen someone you've killed recently, even though you know they must have got the name and the person wrong.
There is no answer, just what life is, no one will be redeemed;
just what is life, no weight, no trace.
Because no one will remember your achievements, your failures, your goodness, your evil.

American Psycho quotes

  • Timothy Bryce: He makes himself out to be a harmless old codger, but inside... inside...

Patrick Bateman: [voice-over] ... "but inside" doesn't matter.

Craig McDermott: "Inside," yes, "inside... " - believe it or not, Bryce, we're actually listening to you...

Timothy Bryce: Come on, Bateman, what do you think?

    Patrick Bateman: Whatever.

  • [last lines]

Patrick Bateman: There are no more barriers to cross. All I have in common with the uncontrollable and the insane, the vicious and the evil, all the mayhem I have caused and my utter indifference toward it I have now surpassed. My pain is constant and sharp, and I do not hope for a better world for anyone. In fact, I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape. But even after admitting this, there is no catharsis; my punishment continues to elude me, and I gain no deeper knowledge of myself. No new knowledge can be extracted from my telling. This confession has meant nothing.
