Always give yourself a choice

It's been almost a week since I watched Parts 1-3 of "The Bourne Bourne", so I came to record some impressive points before my memory completely disappeared. The first part was intended to lay the groundwork for the story, so after reading it, I just thought it was okay, but the second and third parts really made me concentrate and cheered.

1. You made yourself who you are. This sentence seems to be said to him by the boss of the male protagonist, to tell him that since he has become a special agent and has executed a mission to kill people, there is no turning back, not to mention this choice is He did it himself. But the male protagonist did not accept the identity of the killer for the second time, he changed. On the way to pursue him, the car hit an obstacle, the enemy was dying, and the male protagonist let him go. Later, when the enemy caught up with him again, he asked the male protagonist why he let him go, and the male protagonist asked the guy back if he knew who he was? Do you know why you received the quest to kill him? The former male protagonist saw the mission information, performed the mission, reported that the mission was completed, and that's all, he clearly remembered the victim's face, but he didn't know and never asked why they had to die. But after losing his memory and having a girlfriend, he became warm, and he chose to give up the past. I think You make yourself who you are going to be. Every choice you made in the past brought you where you are now, but the choices you make now determine where you go in the future.

2. This is a game of cat and mouse, but the cat has never thought about whether it is a mouse that he is chasing, and whether the mouse is willing to keep the role of the past. Due to misunderstanding, the opponent pieced together the male protagonist into an image of a killer with superior personal ability and extremely dangerous. Every action of the male protagonist seems to be to undermine public safety. In fact, from the beginning to the end, the male protagonist just wants to figure out who he is, is the pursuit of identity, and only after finding out can he abandon his past self.

3. The male protagonist's tense and ready status at any time impressed me. Due to his high professionalism, the male protagonist is particularly sensitive to changes in the surrounding environment, so he can prepare well before the enemy comes and escape in advance. It will not easily believe the enemy's position, but will always take the initiative. The only thing that feels powerless is the moment when she was shot in the head by the enemy after changing seats with her girlfriend.

4. If there is only one word to describe the male protagonist, I would choose tenacious vitality. In the last scene of the third part, before the male protagonist jumps off the building, someone behind him fires a shot and he falls into the river. It was later reported that the body could not be found until I saw him freeze like a frog, and just when I thought he was dead, he started to swim again. This starts the next one.

Overall, the story is all about finding the past and waving goodbye.

The Bourne Identity quotes

  • The Professor: I work alone, like you. We always work alone.

  • Conklin: You're worried about a budget meeting? If we don't take care of this, we don't make it to the men's room. Is that clear enough for you? We will burn for this. We will both of us burn.
