Supreme Byrne, The Bourne Bourne

The work can be seen as a traditional American heroism film that fights the entire villain force by oneself.

Matt Damon was 30 years old when he joined the cast, and being a powerful actor feels like a big factor in the film's success.

There is not much to say about the plot. On the one hand, when the protagonist accidentally falls into self-lost and hopes to find himself, he has a head-on collision with the villain who performs some shady actions for some ulterior purpose. Tracking, chasing, anti-chasing, fixed-point clearing, gunfights, hand-to-hand combat, car chasing, the traditional American movie elements are basically in it.

The overall pacing and editing of the film are pretty good.

It’s a steady, normal film. Even the story structure is so simple. Maybe it's the reason why I only watched this film 10 years later. I think it's really average. One shot is more beautiful. Matt kicks a person down the stairs, puts the person under him, and shoots in the air. The action has Bern's unique style, which has always been commendable.

I didn’t have a good impression of Matt Damon because I watched Hollywood’s "Infernal Affairs" first, but after watching this show, I really feel like a special agent.

The Bourne Identity quotes

  • Conklin: What is the French word for "stakeout," huh?

  • Jason Bourne: Look, I'm... you're acting like I'm trying to burn you here. I'm just trying to do the right thing.

Marie: Nobody does the right thing.
