Disappointed

A vivid demonstration of what it means to have the most talented people come together and make a mess of each other's constraints. It is a high-quality industrial science fiction film, but it can only be regarded as a mediocre work under the names of Spielberg and pkd. The humanity and virtue that Spielberg is good at portraying is incompatible with the absurd spirit of rebellion and even mysticism in pkd's works. So the result is that the visual elements are obviously leaning towards the blade runner cyberpunk, but the narrative logic and spiritual core are the classic Spielberg's virtue and evil. In terms of technique, it is still Spielberg's consistent master level, but it is a pity that there is no amazing innovation. The collision of the two masters instead gave birth to mediocrity, and perhaps this is not a rare case.
