Science and technology are people-oriented; people's infinite possibilities; good and evil thoughts.

Just finished watching Minority Report. The idea is not very mature. But say it and see.

Spielberg has a lot to say. I think it's mainly the following layers:

The first layer of meaning is: In the future, predicting crime is technically possible. Advances in technology have enabled humans to predict upcoming crimes.

The second level of meaning: predicting that criminal behavior in the future will produce different results. People may or may not be killed. (Tom Cruise has already decided not to kill that person. That person took Tom Cruise's hand and pulled the trigger.) However, some people use artificial means to create what is about to happen." the only outcome of criminal behavior” and thus convince the population of the accuracy of the agencies that predict crime. No matter how advanced, sophisticated and intelligent technology is, it is always controlled by people, and people are the most variable factor. Human behavior will affect and interfere with the outcome of future events, making future events develop in a bad direction. In a future where crime can be predicted, people are unpredictable and still full of blood and filth.

Level 3: At the end the bad chief says to Tom Cruise, "I have other options" and kills himself. This is the most shocking scene. The bad director finally found his conscience and gave up killing Tom Cruise, but apologized to death. This was a result that even the prophets never predicted. In the future, people will follow their own hearts, their own will, and do unforeseen things.

The past has already happened, and one cannot change the past. But in the future, people have unlimited possibilities.

Final conclusion: Seemingly perfect human technology will always have flaws. The defect may come from the technical level, or it may come from the hearts of people who can't stand the bewitching.

But things in the future haven't happened yet, and people's good and evil are still between a single thought. Humans have the power to make the world a better place by changing their behavior.

If it is more concise, it is: in the future, human beings can predict crimes, but the results of criminal behaviors cannot be accurately determined, because human behaviors have infinite possibilities in the future. Between good and evil.

Another form of dystopia. Of course, I will forget all principles and standards in front of Tom.

Long foreplay takes some time to understand, but it is worthwhile to sink your heart to see that the screenwriter is great and has ideas about the construction of the future society. The key is that there are too many unknown details behind the arrangement of fate. The game of sensibility and rationality under the destined ending. It is also the highlight of the plot/review2019.9 has been changed to the former contempt

Minority Report quotes

  • John Anderton: Why should I trust you?

Dr. Iris Hineman: You shouldn't. You shouldn't trust anyone. Certainly not the Attorney General who just wants it all for himself, and not the young Federal agent, who wants your job. Not even the old man who just wants to hold on to what he created. Don't trust anyone. Just find the Minority Report.

  • John Anderton: [a dream sequence, Anderton is at the pool with his son as his son is coming up while holding his breath underwater] 25.26 seconds. That's a new record.

Younger Sean: Is it a world record.

John Anderton: Is it a world? It's your personal best.

    Younger Sean: Let's try you.

John Anderton: What? Are you kidding me? There is no way that I can beat 25.26 seconds.

Younger Sean: How long can a whale hold it's breath underwater?

John Anderton: A whale can hold it's breath for about 20 minutes.

Younger Sean: You gotta beat the whale.

John Anderton: [his son gets out of the water as he is getting in] Here we go Sean. It could take 20 minutes, are you sure you don't want to get some ice cream or something?

    Younger Sean: No. Ready dad?

    John Anderton: Ready.

[kisses Sean as he goes underwater, as he is underwater, the watch suddenly drops into the water, then he comes back up]

    John Anderton: Sean? Sean? Sean?

    [looking around]

John Anderton: Have you seen my son, have you seen a kid in a red bathing suit? Sean? Have you seen my son, he was wearing a red bathing suit? Sean?

    [wakes up screaming]

    John Anderton: SEEEAAANNN!
