"Minority Report" starts with the awareness of "prophet", explains the main plot of the film with an urgent mission, and then through the intervention of "Federal Rookie" Danny, puts forward the core point of the whole film: when crimes can be predicted When the law is enforced before the crime occurs, does the law prevent the crime?
In the film, when Danny proposes that if the criminal is terminated before committing a crime, it is called an attempted crime or a crime is suspended according to the laws of our country. If this is the case, the fact of the crime cannot be established, and the criminal is still criminal? Actor Anderton uses a ball to prove to Danny that crime prevention is also one of the ways to punish criminals, and more effective. At first glance, this explanation seems to be valid, but if you think about it carefully, the ball falls to the ground by inertia, but people do things with more than just a choice. This is the plot designed by the director later. "The Prophet" Agatha "You've got another option," the crime scene of Dunton told him. It goes to show that when people are faced with something, they never have more than one option.
In addition, Danny also raised a question. If the "prophet" is regarded as a system, even if it is a system with no loopholes at all, the person who operates the system will be the biggest loophole in the system. Therefore, as long as it is operated by humans, there must be loopholes. It's like the hero Anderton lost his son six years ago. This incident is a hurdle in his heart that he will never get over because he is also addicted to drugs. A drug-addicted sliver manipulating the life and death of the people does sound unreliable. Therefore, someone took advantage of this loophole and let the "prophet" foresee the picture of Anderton killing people. This is the so-called, "The system is perfect, if there is a flaw, it is also the fault of the human being." After the plot developed to this point, It's a classic Hollywood routine, chasing cars, chasing people, fighting, and finding clues. Although they are all old routines, I have to say that Hollywood sports are really beautiful. Movement, that's something we rarely see in our films. I have to say, the sports we shot didn't look good.
After that, Anderton found the founder of "The Prophet". The founder told him this sentence, "If you (referring to the male protagonist) kills people, you will destroy the system." When he heard this sentence , I'm at a loss, if Anderton didn't kill at the time when the murder should have happened, wouldn't that prove the prophet wrong? And didn't killing people make the people more convinced that what the prophet said was true? This question has been bothering me until the time of Anderton's murder, and I suddenly realized the public's reaction. The public didn't know what the "prophet" predicted, and the purpose of the pre-criminal bureau was to make the crime disappear. All gone, isn't the crime gone? In other words, if the top management colludes and treats all political opponents as crime prevention, no matter whether the person has committed a crime or not, as long as there is no murder in his life, the people will believe in this government, right? Under this logic, is the law still fair?
In the second half of the film, Anderton was finally put in headcuffs and taken to prison, and this prison is also one of the settings that I think is more contrary to social values. The prisoners in it will keep looking at their life and see the picture they want to see most. If so, what's the point of a prison? Isn't it too strange for the victim to feel the suffering of the world outside the prison, while the criminal spends the rest of his life in his own happy fantasy. However, based on this setting, some "conspiracy theories" have also emerged, saying that the "Hollywood-style" Happy Ending after Anderton went to prison did not actually happen. These are just fantasy images of Anderton in prison. But I don't think that's true, because Anderton's only obsession from beginning to end is to find his son and how to deal with the prisoner, which is not what I said, but what Anderton said at his own crime scene. , so even if he wants to see it, all he can see is that his son Sean is alive. To this end, I also deliberately flipped through the original script of the film, and there was a cut scene that happened to be what Anderton saw in prison, where he was talking to Sean, who was eleven years old. Therefore, I believe Anderton must have been robbed from prison by his handsome wife and completed the final counter-kill.
The film "Minority Report" was a work by Spielberg in 2003. After watching a film that was 19 years away from now, I was greatly shocked. From the point of view of the special effects of this film, even 20 years later, we still cannot make such a work. In terms of its fidelity, when Danny was tracking the male protagonist Anderton, there was a picture of a car assembly plant. Many insignificant robotic arms in the background of the picture also perfectly simulated the future scene with special effects. . From this point of view, even our elixir in the foreground, even the main props, should be replaced with duck necks; but just eating a bun, and the bun has special effects, the fairy tale drama is simply too bad to be added. Some people say that the script of this film is not very good, but 20 years ago, such an interlocking and worthy of repeated review of the plot design, I have to say, it is great!
