The pace of boring life makes each of us become zombies. What is the difference between being busy making money and being successful and zombies running for food? Therefore, the film teaches us to enjoy life. Drinking afternoon tea and eating barbecue is also a good way of life. There is no need to push ourselves too hard.
I think Ed is the extreme side of the male protagonist. He always messes up things, so he will protect himself at ordinary times, but he will hate iron when it is critical. In the end, Ed's sacrifice can be said to be self-salvation or friendship.
Anyway, it's pretty funny, and it's very attractive to me who likes to watch zombie themes.
