I personally think that lala land has done a good job in form. The tone of the whole film is retro, the color contrast is strong and bright, and the dance form makes the actress look very elegant and energetic. Especially in cheerful scenes, these elements complement each other. But from the story, there are still some places that are more blunt. Thematically, more meaning is also given rather than injected in the first place.
Some people say this movie is about a fairy tale, but I can't get into that fairy tale. I will think more about reality. If the female protagonist doesn't meet the male protagonist in the first place, she may give up earlier, maybe go back to be a lawyer, which is probably better. The two people didn't have much similarities at the beginning, apart from the same despair and the same unrealistic dreams, are they really not licking each other's wounds when they are together at this time? They made it in the end, their dream seemed to come true, but more because they made compromises along the way. The story of the male protagonist is more obvious, he made music that he didn't like halfway through. If you stick to it blindly, it will not be so easy to succeed. In the end, I guess they really fell in love with each other, but they separated.
So the last scene is very sad to see, if life is really a fairy tale, if you give it a go and you succeed, if there is no conflict between dreams and bread, if there is no conflict between you and the career of the person you love, you have entered the most In an ideal life, you have experienced all the typical happy scenes from love to family, then...you may find yourself dreaming when you pinch yourself.
There are definitely places in life that make you uncomfortable, and while you're doing well, it can't be perfect. It's as if Mia succeeded and realized her dream, but missed the male lead.
Still, you might be tempted to imagine that perfect scenario. There you worked hard and got a response. Maybe someone will ask you to imagine such a scenario and then be sad that that person is not in your future. That's probably what I was thinking about when I watched La La Land, and to me this movie is more like a bowl of poisonous chicken soup. Or the traditional Chinese medicine with sugar added overnight, the bottom medicine has not been dissolved, and it is particularly bitter.
