There are two reasons, one is because of a person, and the other is a movie I watched in LA recently,
It seems that Valentine's Day has been set for release in China, and the following will inevitably be serious! spoiler! (read carefully). It is indeed a good-looking movie, and you should buy a ticket to watch it in the movie theater for the beautiful and non-paralyzed faces of the two leading actors. Watching it with the people you like will be very emotional.
My favorite song in the OST of the movie: Mia & Sebastian's Theme, which runs through the whole film, and the taste of various arrangements are different.
At the beginning, I mentioned a little bit of prejudice about Los Angeles that I want to take back. It came from a LA resident who always instilled in me "la is boring without a car, there is no one on the road at night, it is very dangerous..."
Facts What he said was right. Los Angeles is a city on wheels. There are not many pedestrians on foot during the day and night, and the roads are blocked into parking lots during rush hour. Compared to New York, the law and order is really not very friendly at night (unless in the car). So this first week in Los Angeles, I was looking for a reason why so many people could still settle here.
I'm used to seeing the familiar New York street scenes in movies, but this time I'm in another city and I feel familiar everywhere when I watch a movie shot here. Probably because my current coordinates are here, and I have passed many scenic spots in the play recently; it is probably because many details in the film are very characteristic of Los Angeles, which makes me and the LA residents who watch the film often laugh out loud at the same time.
The plot is very simple, it is the story of a down-and-out musician who insists on traditional jazz music, Sebastian, and an actress Mia, who has been auditioned for countless times, and falls in love. The reason why he swept the Oscar outpost must be something fascinating. Most of the comments with a high number of votes said that the film tells the story of young people's pursuit of dreams. Including Emma Stone in her acceptance speech, this is a story that encourages young people not to give up their dreams. But for me, the film vividly records the spring, summer, autumn and winter of a love affair, and it is my favorite place.
They first met on Route 101, comparing their middle fingers; Mia was drawn to a tune Sebastian played in the restaurant, but the meeting didn't spark much either.
The real acquaintance comes from a party. There is a very thoughtful detail here. Sebastian's car was originally parked outside the house, but in order to accompany Mia to walk a little longer, he told Mia to park the car on the mountain, and after watching her drive away, he walked down the mountain to pick up the car.
Another detail is that Mia was in a low mood after an audition. At that time, when she happened to pass by the theater where the two agreed to meet for "performance research", the corners of her mouth rose slightly, and she was in a hurry to go home and organize her appearance, cute. And very real.
Later, it was the hottest summer of every relationship. The boys drove to pick up the girls and honked their horns downstairs at home; they traveled all over the city together, from the Colorado Bridge to the Angel Railway, from Watts Towers to Gerry Fez Observatory, never get tired of seeing each other, no one likes you more and knows you better than me.
Then in autumn and winter, the two became more and more familiar with each other, and friction gradually developed. When quarreling, the words that hurt each other blurted out, sometimes it took a long time to fill up. But maybe because he knew each other too well, Sebastian didn't even need to know Mia's address to find her, all because she mentioned in the script that there is a library in front of her house.
When we say goodbye, you are still the one I love the most. But I am going to another place to pursue my dream. After meeting many years later, I didn't expect you to still look like that, and keep the painting I gave you; I imagined many kinds of ifs when we met again, and every state of life has each other.
I tried to put myself into Mia's shoe, to understand why she didn't insist on flying with Sebastian. In the end, no conclusions were drawn. This is probably the case in real life, there are not many ifs, only one result. They chose a way of love that made each other's dreams come true.
If New York is the gathering place of liberalism, then Los Angeles is probably more liberal than New York, with an extra layer of laxity. When I first landed in Los Angeles, I felt that this kind of rambling was too malicious, just like the dazzling sunshine here every morning at eight o'clock. After reviewing the weather in New York for the past few days, I secretly felt that the warmth brought by this malicious ultraviolet light was a little precious. Like the unplanned urban pattern here, if it weren't for this sparseness, there probably wouldn't be a horizontal skyline that could be seen by looking up. The little colorful suspenders that people wear in winter, and the deafening power amplifiers of drivers on the road, are surprisingly cute. If you stay here for a long time, you will understand.
The night scene of Los Angeles that appeared in the movie can't help but remind me of a dense fog that I saw at Griffith Observatory ten days ago, sigh. Although I only saw one-tenth of the night view that night, I can still imagine how beautiful it was. Finally, I hereby attach a tenth of the picture to tell myself that I will have the opportunity to go up the mountain to see it again in the future.
