Watch it as an action movie

The second part (2003) is slightly less expressive than the first part (1999), but due to the rapid development of CG technology and Yuan Heping's action guidance, the second part is more watchable than the first part a lot. The drag racing scene and the sparring scene are very good. The last part of the point is that the robot deliberately allows Zion to exist in order to learn from humans. But the robot can't avoid bugs in the mother body (that is, someone (the prophet) awakens and resists), so the robot will come to a big cleaning every once in a while, annihilate the resistance army, and then restart the mother body. The appearance of Neo may make the sixth rebellion of mankind have a different result than the ending of the first five times of total annihilation.

Impressive quote from the Prophet: You have made the choice, you just wonder now why you made the choice.

(8/10) I have watched the first and third films many times, but I have never touched the second one. This time I found that the Matrix series is not only an excellent cyberpunk, but also an excellent Kung Fu movie.

The second part is completely unrestricted from the first, the story begins to expand, and the imagination is bursting. It's no wonder that Keanu Reeves is willing to take on the sequel.

The Matrix Reloaded quotes

  • The Architect: There are two doors. The door to your right leads to the Source and the salvation of Zion. The door to your left leads back to the Matrix, to her... and to the end of your species. As you adequately put, the problem is choice. But we already know what you are going to do, don't we? Already I can see the chain reaction: the chemical precursors that signal the onset of an emotion, designed specifically to overwhelm logic and reason. An emotion that is already blinding you to the simple and obvious truth: she is going to die and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

  • Agent Smith: But, as you well know, appearances can be deceiving, which brings me back to the reason why we're here. We're not here because we're free. We're here because we're not free. There is no escaping reason; no denying purpose. Because as we both know, without purpose, we would not exist.

[Several Agent Smith Clones walk in]

Agent Smith Clone 1: It is purpose that created us.

Agent Smith Clone 2: Purpose that connects us.

Agent Smith Clone 3: Purpose that pulls us.

Agent Smith Clone 4: That guides us.

Agent Smith Clone 5: That drives us.

Agent Smith Clone 6: It is purpose that defines us.

Agent Smith Clone 7: Purpose that binds us.

Agent Smith: We are here because of you, Mr Anderson. We're here to take from you what you tried to take from us.

[Attempts to copy himself into Neo]

    Agent Smith: Purpose.
