Once, Noah wrote 365 letters but never heard from them.
Another time Noah knew that Ellie's Alzheimer's would still forget the fact that they once loved each other again and again, but she was willing to repeat their story over and over again to give Ellie a few minutes of sobriety.
What flashed through my mind was the lyric: "We used to love each other, and it hurts to think about it."
I'll admit it's an old cliché story. Nor do I deny that it could be a true story.
It's a secular story of love and time breaking the right match.
Ellie refused the engagement, disobeyed her parents, betrayed her wealth, and chose a slightly sad first love in the summer. How many people in real life can love so desperately.
I see a lot of people's film reviews saying that if love is not together, it only means that love is not enough. I think it's true that many people can't resist their parents, and they can't resist the wealth and ease of life in the future. Just like Ellie's mother, she chose Ellie's father. Although she lost her original true love, Ellie's father's love also made her mother very happy. Although it is inevitable that such a piece is missing in my heart, it will still be very heartwarming to think about or see it occasionally.
The movie uses a combination of reality and story to make Ellie and Noah of two ages interact in the movie. This method is really tear-jerking.
This movie reminds me of my grandma after my grandfather passed away, got sick with fluids, and was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the early stage, when the family was very restless. Grandma is gentle by nature and doesn't talk much. I didn't expect to get such a disease after grandpa passed away. Grandpa was paralyzed for a long time before he left. Basically, grandma takes care of him alone. Grandpa has a bad temper. Although grandma is sometimes angry, she never quarrels with grandpa. I still remember my grandma saying: "My wife and my wife, you have a partner when you are old. Why did you leave so early, old man, and leave me alone." That kind of loneliness and helplessness is beyond words in my experience.
When love has sublimated into family affection over time, it is like blending a strange soul into oneself.
Maybe at first, the two people were angry because of a little thing, and they added bad words. They slowly tolerated each other and rubbed off the edges and corners of each other. Finally, they became accustomed to each other and became one body. If they were separated, it would be heartbreaking pain. It's not unreasonable to live in love for a long time.
Of course, not every Noah can go around and meet Ellie again, not every Ellie can refuse to choose the first love together, and not every Noah and Ellie can grow old hand in hand, snuggle with each other, and join hands in In a sweet dreamland, go to another world.
Although many people say it is cliché. But I really like it. Before writing the review, I gave it four stars, and after writing the review, I plan to change it to five stars.
The last star, I would like to thank "The Notebook" for making my heart unable to calm down for a long time because it was touched by true love.
