There is no value or not, only willing or not

An overly happy ending always feels unreal. Strong love from beginning to end, like a steaming pot of chocolate that is too thick to melt, sweet and a little greasy. As if he came into this world, he was born for her, to protect her.
Young Noah pressed his chest desperately with both hands, and said to Ellie, let's go, anyway, I have already lost you once, and I don't care about losing you again. His voice was trembling, his eyes were desperate, his body slumped heavily on the car door, and he clearly felt that his heart was different, pale, heartache, sadness poured into his heart, and he was about to suffocate. What he clearly wanted to say was, Ellie, it was because I lost you once that I understood that if I lost you again, I would not be able to breathe and would not have the courage to live any longer.
Old Noah, telling Ellie about the younger ones, even though Ellie has completely forgotten, not even remember who he is. Over and over again, I watched the white-haired Ellie go from being unfamiliar to him, to recovering her memory little by little, to the pain and emotion of the two of them hugging their heads, and it didn't take long for Noah to change from Ellie's world again. In Noah's eyes, it is worth it, no matter how long the wait, no matter how hard, as long as Ellie only has a shadow of him in 5 minutes of memory.

My disbelief, but there is no existence that can stop the truth -- there is no right or wrong, whether it is worth it, only willing or not.

There are not so many excuses for love. If it cannot be fulfilled, it can only show that there is not enough love.

The Notebook quotes

  • Young Noah: You need to learn how to trust.

  • Duke: [to Allie - quoting Whitman] I know you feel lost right now, but don't worry. Nothing is ever lost, nor can be lost. The body, sluggish, aged, cold, the embers left, from earlier fires, shall duly flame again.
