I think the plot is average, but the acting is superb. As expected of the three-time best actor Daniel. A bit of a fan of this British guy. After watching this film, I realized that sometimes money is not the source of happiness, but the source of pain. Let yourself go down the road of loneliness. When someone approaches you, you will think that it must be my money. How tiring to live like this! It seems that it is true to be an ordinary person. The story follows a self-made miner. Accidentally discovered the business opportunity of oil and embarked on a prosperous life. Live with the children of dead workers. One day, a young man offered 500 shillings as a deal to tell the man where the rich oil was. The male protagonist arrived at the destination and found that there was indeed oil, so he quickly bought the land to mine. Conflict with local priest over accidental death of a worker while mining. Soon the violent oil development sparked a fire that left the adopted child deaf. Later, he made a fortune, and inexplicably came a half-brother. The male protagonist feels that his business is a bit sustenance, and he doesn't have to work too hard all the time. But later it was discovered that the younger brother was actually a fake, and he was killed in a fit of rage. Soon the male lead joined the pastor's church in order to wait for the support of a piece of land from the locals. Take his career to the next level. A few years later, the adopted child decided to leave the male protagonist and start his own business. The male protagonist was furious when he heard it, claiming that you were just a piece of shit I adopted. At the end of the plot, I couldn't understand it, and the priest came to teach the male protagonist. But he was taught by the male protagonist, and he was killed~
