Das Experiment has restored the appearance of the Stanford prison experiment. It is only a German interpreter of the American story. By the way, a short romantic love story is inserted to form a clear contrast with the frightening, terrifying and cold experiment. The story begins with the recruitment of experimental mice from research institutions to the society, and reporters and military personnel infiltrate the experiment to pretend to be experimental subjects. The applicants come from all walks of life, no matter what the reason, the remuneration of 4000 marks is obviously very attractive. The experiment began to announce the prison rules, which seemed simple and easy to implement. As long as the prison guards and the prisoners abide by it together, then everyone can easily leave with money. The first day seemed to have passed amicably. On Day 2, disharmony began to appear, and then the situation deteriorated day by day, and finally became out of control. At the end of the movie, the surviving prisoners and prison guards stand or sit in the parking garage, with indifferent expressions, dull eyes, and the color of the shots are deserted, the atmosphere is strange and sad, and the sadness reaches its peak. It wasn't until the subtitles appeared that the smile between the beach and the lover slightly relieved the nervous and fearful mind and body.
The whole film is flat and straightforward, the shots are simple, the colors are clean, and the plot is calm but subtle. The opening shows the audience with ordinary experimental subjects, and the randomly assigned roles make a huge change in their psychology. From another perspective, if reporters and soldiers play the role of prison guards, will they become equally violent? When people begin to master power and taste the sweetness of power, how many people can control their booming desires? Who can stop the devil in his heart from becoming stronger? Thinking from the perspective of a prisoner, maybe each of us has experienced a period of isolation more or less in the process of growing up. Who can maintain our own style and opinions under high pressure? Who dares to exercise against the wind and remains determined? The prison guards were very smart. When they found that violence could not control No. 77, they began to punish other prisoners and let other prisoners intimidate No. 77 for the purpose of indirectly controlling him. When the like-minded people around you start to be divided by interests, who can resist the pressure brought by the spiral of silence? For all these questions, no one would dare to pat his chest and give affirmative answers until the day when they encountered the real test.
The only certainty is that there is a demon in each of us, and it may explode or succumb to become a coward. When we are unable to eradicate this demon, we can only hope that there are fewer and fewer prisons in the world, the power of prison guards can be restrained to a certain extent, and prisoners can also establish the confidence and belief in living anew.
Finally, I hope everyone who has watched this film will take a deep breath and relax their mood. At the same time learn one thing-when you can't fight, don't continue to fight uselessly, the only thing you can do is to get out of this environment as much as possible-fly over the lunatic asylum!
