Quentin is a bit of a literary accent

This is not a typical Quentin movie. Although there are also a lot of ketchup flying scenes, I always feel that the tone of the whole movie is a bit weird. The whole film seems to be divided into two parts, the first part is called the carriage; the second part is called the inn. No shot was fired for the first 40 minutes of the film, which was full of long-winded dialogue.
I feel that Quentin wanted to create a tense atmosphere through the entire dialogue, and he did not hesitate to use the background of the American Civil War to divide everyone into two factions, north and south, but this idea did not seem to be successful, and the background of the wild west became monotonous wallpaper, all the rangers have also unified into a military background chatter. Even the abrupt first shot didn't know why it was fired, as if it was killing for the sake of killing.
If we have to use logic to measure Quentin's films, then we don't need to watch them at all, but the charm of Quentin's films is not only the bloody violent scenes, but also the wild imagination and unexpected editing methods. , and the actions of characters that are impossible to guess in the tense atmosphere. This exclusive Quentin sense of curiosity is unmatched by other movies. But the behavior of everyone in this movie is also very strange. Maybe Quentin is really not suitable for such a long-winded literary film with a sense of immediacy and control of the historical background. If the background of the Civil War of these people is stripped away, it is not impossible. I have never felt that these historical backgrounds have injected any HTC elements into this film.
But there are still a lot of things to watch in the movie, such as photography and Quentin's usual application of color, everyone's performance is also first-class, all in all, it's a decent Quentin movie, and it's still worth watching. , but this nondescript literary tone really makes the movie strange.
